Regarding scanning printouts, I'll try to minimize their use.

I only really do that when the item is clearly out of stock (I see the tag for it and the item is not there) or I can't find it at all after lots of searching.

The former happened to me when Energizer had their 100 pts per item day recently, I got 2 out of 3, but the 3rd was OOS. Unfortunately, that day I didn't have my print out with me.

The latter happened yesterday, I think, when I couldn't find the 4th magazine (Real Simple). I didn't have a print out for that either.

But it's still good to know that using that too frequently can potentially get one banned.
Okay, just be careful. Like I said, they don't expect you to get every item every time. When they see you're completing your sets all the time, they get suspicious.

They sure do!

How are RZ certs entered? Should be the same. That would mean you can't use RZ certs either.

They now have you enter the number and then put your reward id number. Before it was enter the number and how much it's worth.

wasn't sure if the 3DS XL was getting a cheaper price but I saw that Target had them
for $175 so I decided to go to BB to get it price matched.. got 1 of each color for my
2 kids.. made sure to make it 2 separate transactions to get 2x bonus kicks..

added the special edition Season 1 of Walking Dead.. ended up getting 1850 & 1882 kicks..
now over 13k.. love that BB purchases get 2x kicks and the bonus levels and that they're
instant rather than toys r us which you have to wait 45 days to get kicks

+1

I bought about $100 worth of BD's (a bunch of them essentially rebuy's after returning copies that I bought at higher price points earlier, like Titanic 3D and Prometheus 3D) yesterday and got 2X points and also the bonus for hitting $100.

Then I bought a wireless keyboard for my iPad and got more bonus points for that too (I had to do that one on a separate transaction as it will be a work expense).

Was able to get the 200 walk in points at Target on my wife's iPad today, but was having trouble getting it to work on mine. For some reason it wouldn't recognize the walk in. I eventually gave up and emailed SK. Hopefully they will credit my account after seeing that I was there (since I scanned an item in store). They have done that before when I've contacted them.

It's funny. They other day I was trying to keep away from the walk-in tab for Target because it was only for 35 pts and it showed that I could unlock for 100 pts, but it wasn't letting me yet (I looked through all the look books already). Yet, even though I didn't touch the walk in tab and was just trying to do scans, my walk in bubble showed up on its own for 35 pts. So I can get walk ins to show when I want them (200 pts), but can't seem to prevent them when I don't want them (35 pts). LOL.

In any case, I'm just happy that I'm getting walk ins at all, since I never used to be able to get them before. It's a whole new world for me now with SK.

Yep. I still have another $10 left, so I'm going to try it again on thursday. But I remember it used to work, especially when I started using it a year ago.

I JUST found out about Shopkick the other day, only been doing it for 4 days and got a Best Buy card already! All of the walk in places are within 5 minutes of each other so that also makes it easy.

I also had this problem with Target not giving me the walk ins even though i was scanning in there. I got it to work today though finally.

My new favorite app.Question though: it makes me a little nervous to link my card to it. Any problems for anyone?

Just like any other app that requires your CC info. I did it for a while till it got booted during the last upgrade. I haven't relinked it since. Might just be laziness though or not using it enough.

Thanks. Man this is great. I don't have a job right now, so getting blu's is obviously a low priority, especially since i have a 5 month old. Shopkick is going to keep me in the game lol. I got enough for a $5 gc today and when i traded in my kicks it was there ready to use in about 30 seconds. crazy

Yet another reason i love this forum, never would have known about this otherwise.

LOL, yep, I had the same issue.

Didn't work yesterday when they had the 200 walk-in bonus, but it'll probably work just fine today (as it has every other day since I've been doing walk-in's at Target) when the walk-in point values are back to normal.

I've never had a problem with linking the card.

Actually, I'm waiting to link the card I usually use for buying blu's, but I'm hoping there will be a promo (e.g. get X points for linking your card today). That's what got me to link a different card last year in the first place. And then I've actually benefited from it a few times (i.e. got points) from purchases at TRU and Old Navy where they have the linked in feature.

However, I have to say, the bonus system for purchases at BB really takes the cake. I hope they keep this as is and don't only just have it as a promo during the holiday season. If so, I'll be raking it in, well, relatively to what I got under the previous system of 75 pts for any purchase over $10.

Just realized how much points I have been giving up by not using SK when buying crap at best buy. Wah... wah.....

Also, I asked SK directly. Coupons do not work on best buy's website anymore.

Yep, and the kicks should pick up from here till New Year.

Definitely make sure you're getting your kicks when buying crap at BBY. And thanks for verifying the on-line usage. That's weird that they did not carry that forward.

Yep. There's also a limit on how many times (weekly or monthly?) you can scan the same item.

Are you getting kicks for your BBY purchases?

Yes on scans, no for walk-ins--or I've never run into that.

It is true, but they allow you to get them for special walk-in days. We'll probably get those since BF is coming.

What? I looked at my SK app and it says that my next walk in at Target and BB are now about a month away!

I know people have mentioned the limits on walk-in scans, but still, what a bummer.

I've only started being able to do walk-in's this past month or so, ever since Target set up their free wifi access. And then I found I could get walk-in's at BB too, even though it never worked for me before.

I guess I went a little crazy and now I've maxed out for a month. Well, based on what deltasun said, at least I should be OK with any special high value walk-ins promos they may have, especially over the next few days.

How do they determine the max limit for walk-ins, is it by how many points you accumulated, or by how many times you got a walk-in, irrespective of how many points you got? If it's the latter, then I'll just scale back and only do walk-in's when the point values are higher (they seem to alternate between low, around 35 pts, and high, around 100 pts, every other day, at least at Target).

That's my plan. I also think they should raise the limits cause it seems like a lot of us have hit the wall.
