Hi, Just adding my voice to the others. Got mine from amazon.ca. I contacted amazon three times over the last two days with the issue of the wrong version of the blu-ray Philosopher's Stone, and the only thing they offered was to return the set if I'm not completely satisfied. I even suggested that they contact Warner Bros on behalf of their customers (since it affects all the Canadian sets)to get an answer from Warner but got the same answer back: return the set.

Like the others I can't find an email contact for Warner Bros Canada, so I emailed Warner Bros US two days ago explaining the situation and asking if there is a contact in Canada. Still waiting for a reply.

In the UK, Warner UK is already taking steps to correct their faulty sets, so there might be hope for us in Canada.

If I get a reply from Warner US I'll post an update.

Amazon wasn't very helpful to me either. I told them in my original message that I didn't want to send my set back since it was most likely all copies with the wrong disc. Their response was this:

"In my experience, the quickest way to have this issue resolved is to contact the Studio: Warner Home Video directly. Here’s their contact information: 416-250-8385 www.warnerbros.com"

They added that if they weren't able to help me, I should send them all correspondence I had with WB and they would try to work out another solution.

I didn't especially want to have to call long-distance to somewhere I'd probably have to wait on hold a lot, so I emailed Warner Brothers US, hoping they'd be able to help. I haven't heard back yet. (It's been less than 24 hours)

So much for customer service from Amazon
I forgot to add this in my last post, if you go to "thedigitalbits.com" and read the September 12th daily column, they are looking into this and waiting for Warner to respond on the issue.
So again there might be hope in getting an answer at some point.

I got the same response from Amazon.ca. You're lucky they at least gave you a number (although it's long distance). I was told to go look for it online, which I already mentioned in my email that I can't seem to find.

I emailed Warner Bros US (two nights ago) and UK (this morning), and waiting to hear back from them.

At least sales of the box set have already been suspended in Amazon.co.uk, and there's a placeholder note saying that the UK issues have already been reported and they're looking into it. The box set is still being sold on Amazon.ca, and what's worse, the reviews on the product page (when I just looked right now) have now been mixed in with reviews for a different Harry Potter boxset (the DVD edition or whatever).

Amazon.ca probably thinks that by mixing the reviews, potential buyers will not notice the problem with this set. lol

Oh My God! I have nearly had it with this! It's been a week since I contacted WB and have heard nothing so I wrote another message to Amazon last night. I was very clear in the message and stated the problem again, the fact that it was an issue that affected all units sold in Canada so a replacement would not solve anything and that I thought Amazon should contact WB on behalf of their customers since they weren't responding to us. I was polite, but firm, even saying I realize that it's not Amazon's fault. The response they sent me this morning:

"I am very sorry to hear that one of the items in your set was defective.

We will of course replace the item at no cost to you. However, we are unable to send individual disc from a set. We will send you a replacement order for the entire set, and we ask that you return the set at our expense.

We would also ask that you return the defective item. We will pay for the return shipping, as the return is the result of our error."

Are you kidding me? I haven't responded yet, but I will and it will not be pretty. The irritating thing is they have placed an order for this automatically and I know they can't cancel the order now so this monster of a package will be sent no matter what. The only thing I can do is refuse it, which won't be too bad if I'm home when it's delivered because the UPS guy can just keep it, but if they drop it, I'll have to lug that thing to a post office myself.

Anyway, one small silver lining. I went to the Warner Bros. Canada Facebook Page and someone (who, with a little Facebook stalking, I determined is Binary Melon from this thread) asked about this. They commented back to send them a FB message and they'll put us in touch with someone who can help. So anyone else needing this issue resolved might want to try that too.

Hi, I'm with you on this. You should check the description of this set on amazon.ca. They removed the reference to the extended version of Philosopher's Stone. Now it simply reads Theatrical Version. So the disc is still wrong. You may want to check the defective disc forum on this subject: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=204807
If they are sending you a new set, most likely it will be the same disc.

Finally received the 31 Disc Harry Potter Wizard's Collection from the UK today.
Can't wait to watch all the Behind The Scenes stuff, Featurettes, Picture-In-Picture Maximum Movie Modes, etc..Not to mention, I've never seen the extended versions of the films! And yes, there are NO PROBLEMS with my set. Received all the correct discs & items.
The set is HUGE!! (It weighs 11 Kg! I have no idea where I'm gonna put it! )
There's artwork on all four sides of the box. Inside this outer box is the main box containing the discs.I put a copy of a normal blu-ray next to it to get a sense of the scale :

OPENING THE OUTER BOX:

THE MAIN BOX:
ALL THE LOGOS ARE EMBOSSED. THE BOX FEELS LIKE WOOD WITH LEATHER ON TOP OF IT..

METALLIC HINGES AT THE BACK:

TOP OPEN:
ABOVE SITS THE FIRST MOVIE. EACH MOVIE IS PRESENTED IN A BOOK-TYPE CASE. THE 'HOLDER' FEELS LIKE FOAM/VELVET.

THE CASE OF THE FIRST MOVIE + EXTRAS :
THE BOOK CONTAINS ARTWORK/PHOTOS/INFO ON THE LEFT.

OPENING THE FRONT :
THE DOOR IS SEALED SHUT VIA MAGNETS.
INSIDE OF THE DOOR CONTAINS THE FOUR HOUSE MASCOTS.

THE DRAWERS HAVE METALLIC RINGS:

OPENING THE FRONT:
(YOU HAVE TO SWING THE DOORS OPEN)

THE BOTTOM DRAWER CONTAINS THE CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY & PAINTED CONCEPT ART (8 CARDS, ONE FOR EACH FILM):

THE MIDDLE DRAWER CONTAINS THE 'LABEL COLLECTION' BOOK & CONCEPT ART DRAWINGS AUTOGRAPHED BY THE SET DESIGNER & ARTIST, STUART CRAIG (6 CARDS) :

PRESSING THIS COMPARTMENT OPENS IT UP. (SOME SORT OF SPRING MECHANISM.) INSIDE ARE THE DIGITAL COPY CODES:

ON THE OTHER SIDE IS A SIMILAR COMPARTMENT WHICH CONTAINS AN AUTHENTIC HORCRUX LOCKET REPLICA FEATURED IN MOVIES 6 & 7 :
(THE LOCKET OPENS UP AND NO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEAK IN PARSELTONGUE )

THE OTHER 7 'BOOKS' CONTAINING THE DISCS :
TOP & BOTTOM DRAWERS CONTAIN 2 'BOOKS' EACH AND THE MIDDLE DRAWER CONTAINS 3 'BOOKS'.

THE OTHER 'BOOKS'/CASES:

THE ARTWORK ON EACH CASE IS MEANT TO RESEMBLE THE COVERS OF THE TEXTBOOKS PRESCRIBED AT HOGWARTS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE SIXTH MOVIE'S CASE ART RESEMBLES A 'POTIONS TEXTBOOK' . IN THE MOVIE, HARRY GETS HIS HANDS ON A USED POTIONS BOOK WITH SCRIBBLINGS & NOTES BY THE 'HALF BLOOD PRINCE'. I LOVE HOW THE CASE, WHICH ITSELF RESEMBLES THE POTIONS BOOK, CONTAINS SCRIBBLINGS & NOTES! THAT'S WHY EVEN THE MAIN COVER IS WRITTEN UPON! THESE ARE THE SAME NOTES THAT WERE IN THE ORIGINAL NOVEL!!

ALL THE 'BOOKS'/CASES TOGETHER :

THE TOP HAS A MAGNETICALLY SEALED SECRET COMPARTMENT WHICH CONTAINS A HARDCOVER PHOTOBOOK, A BLUEPRINT OF THE CASTLE, AND A CLOTH MAP OF HOGWARTS & ITS GROUNDS :

THE MAP, BLUEPRINT, PHOTOBOOK & DISC CASES/'BOOKS' IN THE BACKGROUND :

PHOTOBOOK CONTAINING ALL THE PROPS USED IN THE FILMS :

CLOTH MAP OPENED UP :

BLUEPRINT OPENED UP:

THE INSIDE OF THE BOX CONTAINS ANOTHER SECRET COMPARTMENT WHICH HAS THE LAST (31st) BLU-RAY DISC :

EVERYTHING TOGETHER:

Thanks for the photos. So the special features are on Blu Ray this time around as opposed to the DVDs in the UK UE sets? I might end up just importing this one then since it's cheaper.

For anyone interested this set is on sale right now at Costco for $149.99. 50% off pretty much everywhere else, if not more. I'm picking one up tomorrow before they skyrocket in price. My Costco had 2 available today. They also had Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 in 3D w/ Slipcovers for $13.99 each.

Dang, $150 is below the $160 that actually made this set worth picking up. Too bad I missed that opportunity. Glad someone took advantage though.

I'm still very seriously interested in buying the two 3D discs from this set, as well as the exclusive bonus disc. I will pay well and help offset the cost of your set. PM me if interested.
