I can't stand this hate towards Ashton Kutcher... Seriously. If you actually see the movie, you may be surprised by how great he is. Forget his goofy pretty-boy roles for a minute and give him a chance with this movie. :\

I'm fine with differing opinions, but there is a certain level of ignorance where my tolerance snaps. All this talk of avoiding the movie because of Ashton's involvement, and saying he only looks the part but doesn't play it well, etc... It's getting to the point where I'm genuinely getting pissed.

If you're not his agent, public relation, family member or his significant other, it's not going to benefit you at all to get angry. Some people like him and his movies, and some don't. That's typical for any actor or actress.

I understand. I take a lot of things personally

But it frustrates me that some people seriously won't give him a chance. That's all.

Its like Jim Carrey. The guy's been a goofball for so long so when he decides to be serious, no one will take him such as. Can you blame them?

I suppose. I am the same way with Danny McBride and John C. Reilly. Can't stand them in comedy, can't stand them in anything else (except for Wreck-It Ralph, in Reilly's case).

It's a little different, but not much. I can definitely sympathize with that frame of mind. It still pisses me off, though.

Saw it.

It's hard to disagree with Metacritic's 44/100 score. The film just sucks. Unlike many others, I didn't have many problems with Kutcher's performance. I think it was decent. But the entire film is just way too subpar. Horrible script regardless of very good source material. The dialogues were so bad I had a hard time finishing the film. Also, the cinematography is horrible. I simply hated it. The editing is no better. No wonder why biopics like this require a very good director.

I'm giving this film a 1/5. One of the worst biopics I've seen.

I've heard that Aaron Sonkin is currently working on a new Steve Jobs biopic. Looking forward to it.

Actually, Kutcher's performance wasn't all that bad. But the film itself is simply putrid.
