Voted for TNG, Voyager would be 2nd. I would like to watch DS9 again as I only watched some of them.

Dax on top followed by Seven... You should look up where the term "broad" came from, it's kind of sexist... just saying.

NCIS costs about $2.5m / episode
Back in the days, Space Above and Beyond cost an estimated $5m per episode

Game of Thrones is reported to cost upward of $6m per episode, but they only produce 10 episodes per season.

Compare that to the average $1m per ep of most reality TV show which garner (sadly) just as much if not more ratings, and voila.

Trek shows's budget (in adjusted $) ranged from $2m to $5m per episode (varying hugely depending on the amount of SFX and the rising cost of actors).

p.s: How they could make BSG (2004) for $1.5-$2m an episode ... I cannot imagine. A real feat.
No idea that Space: Above and Beyond cost that much... explains why it didn't last. Loved the show.

Am I the only one that finds Janeway attractive?

TBH 16 years after the fact I do find her beautiful, 16 years ago????when I was about 16 haha!, the lady in your avatar was a tad more prominent. I ninittially found Voyager clunky. I still have a few episodes on VHS, they don't hold too well, can't stand "The Phage" especially

Neelix has left. I really thought he would return with the crew to the Alpha Quadrant.

Finale and Nemesis remain.

This better be a solid finale against The Borg,

It was long overdue for Neelix to leave.... he was part of what dragged about Voyager in the later years. After Kes left, he served no purpose... he was just a nothing on the series.

The problem was that he was brought on board for his knowledge of the few systems around the one Voyager arrived in. Once past these on their way back home (which should have happened before the end of season 2 logically), aside from being a cook and comic relief ... There was not much sense in him being a leading crew member.
This was supposedly dealt with in episode 13 of season 3 where Janeway solves everything by saying he is a "family member", and they can't just leave him behind.

Mkkay.

He served the ship as moral officer. He even counselled Tuvok at one point. I feel he served just as much of a purpose on Voyager as Deanna did on TNG.

I think the entire Kes storyline was a big flop and the only thing about Voyager I was meh about. Everything else kicked ass and I went into this series with low hopes.

I decided to watch the Star Trek tv series' for the first time. Started with Next Generation. Starting out it was pretty rough, and I stopped watching for a while. Came back to it this weekend and ploughed throuh most of season 1. I'm gonna stick with it.

Question, when should I watch the movie Star Trek: Generations? After I finish Next Generation, or while watching the series.

Yes, Generations comes after the series (STNG) ends.

Stick with it, the second season has a few gems - it really picks up in the third season through the end. Since you are starting with STNG go to DS9 when you are finished and than follow that with Voyager.

In sticking with the timeline the next generation films get mixed into the other series. I just watched all the films in order but if you want to time it out give it a Google search and I'm sure you can find where the films fit.

Since you are new to Star Trek this is a great site with tons of info.

Does it bother anyone else that the beautiful Model shots of the Federation StarShips/Alien ships as well as miniatures of space stations/vehicles and planet colony bases as well as many of the original FX like phaser beams/shields and the like from ST:TNG is being completely redone with CGI?...It's like they're DNR'ing the whole Series for the sake of Blu-Ray...Well, I personally loved all of the Modelwork that TNG had, an wished it could have been preserved for Blu-Ray instead of all this new revamping of the show, shame that the ONLY way to see the series as it originally looked is the old DVD Set.

I have not seen any of the BDs yet, but if they do as great a job as they did with TOS I won't be complaining.
