It is a disservice to the millions who paid to see it.
Well, the prologue scene with Bane's creepy voice as an extra would be good.

Bane sounded badass. But not during the stadium speech.

I'd really like to see a one on one Christian Bale/Chris Nolan retrospective about the trilogy. Not expecting one, but that would be cool for the trilogy box set.

Anyone besides me think that DKR may be censored?

[Show spoiler]Most notably the first fight scene with Batman and Catwoman:

Batman: "No guns. No killing."
Catwoman: "Well what's the fun in that?"

And later when she shoots Bane:
Catwoman: "So...that whole gun thing, I just wasn't feeling it." (or something to that effect).

I think either or both lines could easily be omitted or dubbed over. Given the events in Colorado, I think this could, in fact, happen. Let's face it, gun censorship isn't new: Han shoots first, police chasing E.T. with walkie-talkies. Also, the Twin Towers were digitally removed from Spider-Man after the 9/11 tragedy so I think that DKR could follow the same path. Whether you believe that Christopher Nolan is a Liberal (and thus is pro-gun control) because of the messages he's placed in his trilogy may further point to the possibilty of these lines being censored.

My hope is that they leave the movie intact and perhaps add a bonus featurette in honor of the people who lost their lives that night.

Can't wait to pick this up. Probably not going to pick up a steelbook because I didn't double dip on BB and TDK's Best Buy steelbooks. I might try to pick up some other exclusive, though. I can't wait for the special features and retailer exclusives to be revealed but, they probably won't be for a while.

Hopefully Nolan breaks his own personal rule and does give us an extended cut. It has been confirmed by the costume designer that scenes involving Bane's origin were cut and I don't doubt that others were cut too.

I wonder if they'll do another "live screening" with Nolan like they did with TDK. It wasn't the greatest thing, as he answered a lot of the really lame questions, but the idea was really cool.

Dude, I think the extended cut would've probably sucked. I doubt that there will be an extended cut for that movie, as of most superhero movies, like "Spider-Man 2" will possibly have pointless scenes. My guess is there won't be an extended cut. There will be deleted scenes but that's part of the extras. That's my answer, if you don't like it - too bad!!!!!

Why would I not like your answer? You obviously have no idea what you are talking about...lol. You do realize that both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight DIDN'T have deleted scenes included on the Blu-ray's right? I mean aside from some pictures and snippets shown in featurettes. The Dark Knight Rises is in a different unique situation. It has been confirmed that an entire sequence showing Bane's origin was cut (if it was to keep the running time down this is why I hope for a extended cut) so who knows if other things were cut as well.

Deleted scenes as bonus would be better than an extended cut.

I don't think Nolan includes deleted scenes with any of his movies, so I'm not holding out much hope.

I'd love an extended cut though, although that's probably even further down the river of dreams. I thought the movie flew by even at 2:45 and could've used a bit more in parts. An even 3 hour runtime would be awesome.

I'm not a fan of that box art.

The one with Bane walking away from the broken Bat cowl should be the cover.
