It's a cardboard fold out case like all Dogwoof releases. I can highly recommend all their documentaries. The fact that there are loads in Fopp as well for £5 each, rather than £10 on Amazon, is even more of an incentive to pick some up. I watched Dreams Of A Life the other night, and as a look into the loneliness of people and how easy it is to lose contact with people, and for people to be forgotten about, it really hits home
Being Elmo, which I will watch soon, is well worth viewing, as since this was made there were the false accusations against Kevin Clash, and he has now quit as Elmo. Obviously, these aren't in the documentary, but as a look into his life and the character of Elmo, it works really well |

I did receive two items yesterday - Four Days Inside Guantanamo and a replacement for the Atonement digibook, but both were damaged. I received the Mamma Mia! digibook from Play today, but it was sent in a jiffy bag, and the corner was all dented. This was a replacement copy as well
I have only received two undamaged digibooks from Play from this wave, the rest I have sent back and ordered elsewhere. I wish Play would treat digibooks similar to steelbooks, not necessarily sending them in steelbook packaging, but at least sending them in the cardboard packaging and not a jiffy bag I have had to re-order Atonement, Mamma Mia!, Jaws and Spartacus. This is getting annoying as I have to then wait one or two weeks longer to have the item Anyway, I received The Dark Knight Rises steelbook today, and I will post a picture later. It looks like it will be Monday when The Bourne Legacy steelbook turns up |

I use Play as I get the items at the weekend rather than half way through the next week, but I suppose if I'm getting damaged items, then I'm losing more time using Play |

Moving on to today's items Monday 3rd December:
![]() There are two of the digibooks which I have had to re-order elsewhere as they arrived damaged from Play. I'm only waiting on Jaws and Mamma Mia! I received the Alfred Hitchcock boxset from Moviemail. I had a quick look at the 3D version of Dial M For Murder, and the 3D wasn't too bad, although I will need to watch it all before I make a full judgement. It's nice to see that the Strangers On A Train Blu-ray has the same artwork as the US release, but I still slightly prefer the artwork on the UK two DVD set. I got I.D. for £4 using the HMV 20% off code, and also got some more Shameless titles. I'm still waiting on a few more Shameless DVDs which should come tomorrow I also received two steelbooks. It's nice to see that Trainspotting has the extra features on the Universal two disc DVD release. There are a couple of interviews missing though, which means I will need to keep the DVD still I'm waiting on the slipcase version of Zombie Flesh Eaters, but I'm not sure when Arrow are sending those out. I also got another Dogwoof DVD which brings my collection of them to well over 30 Disappointingly, no sign of The Bourne Legacy or Oldboy steelbooks from Play. Hopefully they will come tomorrow Last edited by mattyl149; 02-16-2013 at 10:02 AM. |

Still no sign of Oldboy or The Bourne Legacy, so here's what came today Tuesday 4th December:
![]() My Shameless collection is nearly complete, I just need six more DVDs and two more Blu-rays. My two MOC titles arrived from Amazon. I also received my replacement Jaws digibook. I got Puppetmaster, along with those Shameless DVDs for 20% off at HMV.com, which enabled me to get it for the price I wanted. I can now watch them all in order. The Millennium Trilogy came from Zavvi in an Amazon style cardboard envelope, and I don't know how it didn't get damaged. Finally, I received the latest BFI DVD I have spent today clearing off two of my shelving units which I'm moving downstairs, so most of my Blu-rays and some of my DVDs are all boxed up. I have about three shelves left to clear, then I can move them and put stuff back on. They won't be near my TV, as they will be two floors down, but they will all be in one room, with proper lighting. The room is cold at the moment, so I will need to get the radiator moved When I'm in Bristol, I'll try to pick up some more of the Shameless DVDs and Dogwoof DVDs, plus there's a couple of Artificial Eye DVDs I want. I don't plan on spending a lot, as I've already spent a fair bit. What I've been trying to do is to complete certain parts of my collection, so I only have to then worry about the new releases. All I can say is that is one expensive (but very enjoyable) hobby Last edited by mattyl149; 02-16-2013 at 10:03 AM. |

I bought a few things in Fopp. I nearly bought some of the Arrow Video DVD slipcase editions, but I have the Blu-rays and didn't really want to spend £21 on them. I prefer the Fopp in Covent Garden more. I will get some pictures up on Sunday as I don't have the facilities to do any now. I'm just hoping the steelbooks of Oldboy and The Bourne Legacy are there waiting for me when I get back

Where on earth did you find that Dark Knight Steel? The German one has the ribbon. And the one from this link has no ribbon but also no artwork.
Yours looks like a mix of all the best stuff. Best cover with no foreign text. Interior artwork. No blu ray ribbon at the top. Same with Batman Begins. Where did you get those? ![]() |
