Would like to see Duncan Jones do the next one (if only to get David Bowie to do the theme song!)

David Bowie doing a Bond song? I like

Who should be the next Bond Girl(s)?

I think one of them should be Rooney Mara

You do realize that Craig and Mara have already stared against each other? In that respect a re-teaming does not make much sense and I don't see it ever happening.

Her sister is also a great actress. See House of Cards and the First season of American Horror Story for reference.

Not sure why you are so dismissive.

Criag and Wright appeared together in The Invasion, and no one objected to Wright being in Quantum of Solace.

They already appeared in the same movie together (and slept with each other in it). But it is SO different from Bond. It's nothing alike. Not even close. I think it would work just fine in a Bond movie.

I don't think anyone saw that.

Seriously though, it is different if you are comparing the dynamic on screen between two males and a male and female lead.

Because, as soon as he writes a word, it becomes a Tarantino script - he has no desire to work for anyone else and no desire to share credit, so how would be fit into the Bond franchise? Also, his style is not consistent with what Bond should be; there would be too many pop culture nods, too much dialogue, too many little idiosyncrasies, and it just wouldn't mesh.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but some of the director names thrown around here have just been ridiculous. I'm glad Mendes isn't doing it because it didn't want to become too much about him, but they need someone who could at least fit what's needed from a Bond film. They need someone who can follow the highs of Skyfall - and I do believe it was "highs" - but can also carve their own name into the legacy.

They have been replaced by John Logan.

Martin Campbell. He should be the go to guy for Bond movies IMHO. Campbell is at his best when he does Bond movies.

I was talking to some of my friend today about who should play the villain in Bond 24. Here are some intersting choices.

Gary Oldman
Anthony Hopkins
Mel Gibson
Christoph Waltz
Franco Nero
George Clooney
Liam Neeson
Willem Dafoe

I would LOVE to see Gary Oldman or Waltz as a Bond villain.

I just want more than 3 films a decade. At least 5!

90s: Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough
00s: Die Another Day, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace

Yeah yeah, I know why there weren't more Bond movies produced in the last 20 years but it's still extremely irritating.

Same here! That guy is totally wrong for a Bond film! They have only dropped the ball once with Craig's films and that was with the crapulent Quantum. Sam Mendes was an outstanding choice for a director. Don't follow up the most succesful british film ever with choosing Ritchie!

Anyone else buy the 50 Years Of Bond Cars Top Gear special dvd? It's dirt cheap on Amazon at the moment.

I don't get all the Nolan love for Bond. That guy made great films, but let's be honest. He sucks at directing action scenes. And most of his films have this frantic editing, which doesn't suit Bond at all. TDKR was an extreme example of that. It made the editing look really bad (on first sight). It can also be confusing at times. No, please no Nolan.
