I've watched each episode several times, especially the first four seasons. Amazing show! Sadly I don't think the stars of that are as eager to do a movie. But maybe one day.

Absolutely, it's one of my top 3 favorite series ever. As appealing as that sounds, though, I'll be ecstatic enough just having Bunheads get renewed.

..and on topic:

I'll admit I'm not a huge Veronica Mars fan, but I still find this news really exciting...I never thought it would happen, honestly. I can't imagine how happy you must be.

Me too. That was such a good show.

Hey, Lauren Graham donated! She has been tweeting Dax about it. That is so cool!

Did you sit down and watch the show from the beginning?

BTW, I too am waiting for a Bunheads renewal. It's very enjoyable and has been getting better and better. Still no Gilmore Girls, but I'll take it.

I tried to watch Bunheads. I wanted to like it. But Sutton Foster is so annoying!

She got better. I did not like her at first. Everything about her at first was like a poor man's Lauren Graham. Same goes for her character. But the show grew on me, as did her and the character.

They'll be designing a cool Veronica Mars Kickstarter T-Shirt. If you donate just $25 you will get one of those soon after the campaign ends. I'd say that's well-worth it. Come on people.

When I get up in the morning this better be at 3 Million .

Back in 2000? Nope, I was 8 years old at the time ... I came in around season 4-ish, I think, and quickly caught up....and have not stopped watching since.

Oh wait, did you mean Veronica Mars? Then the answer would be no there...I really want to someday, but I've seen about half of the show total, all out of order (on television the past few years)....so yeah, I've watched it the totally wrong way. However, I have liked what I've seen and still want to watch it properly. This news makes me want to do so even sooner.

..and I agree about Foster...I warmed up to her. That show started out ok, and got better until by the end it had become the highlight of my weekly-tv-watching. Actually the only reason I started this latest GG re-watch was to fill the huge empty hole that show left in my weekly watching after ending last month. I will be so beyond happy if it gets that renewal.

Yeah I meant Veronica Mars. I find it hard to truly get into a show if I don't watch it in order from the beginning. You should seriously try and do it soon. Before the movie anyway .

This has been such a great day. I honestly had lost hope in the VMars movie after years of waiting for the greenlight. I feel empty every time I see that season 3 finale. This is much needed closure. I hope they place the season 3 dandy warhols remix theme somewhere in the film or during the end credits.

I'm in the same boat as MikeScott, I pledged $100 even though I can't really afford it right now, but when I saw this and how fast it was making money, I actually cried. So overwhelmingly happy, I HAVE to be a part of it and of course I have to ensure I get a blu-ray.

I'm also hoping this gets WB to release the show on BD since they'll see more money from that and it can be part of their promoting the movie.

Edit: regarding the theme song, I think it would be perfect for The Dandy Warhols to play it at the high school reunion.

Q: When will the movie be released?

A: Our goal is to release the movie in early 2014. We intend to release the film theatrically in as many cities and theaters as possible. We’ll also try to prioritize cities where our Kickstarter support is coming from. And all Kickstarter backers above $35 will get their digital copies within a few days of the film’s theatrical release.
I doubt my theatre will get it. I'm pretty sure I'm the only Veronica Mars fan in this hick state.

I have to say, I've never seen the show, but good for those who wanted this movie.

Reading all of those posts about "now this means that 'show x' has a chance of being a movie", it occurs to me - this opens the door to alot of things that way. Think about it, let's say that there's a movie/TV show that may not come out on Blu-ray because "there isn't enough demand to justify the cost". Put up a kickstarter campaign for it - some will donate, some will not. Those who go "why are we paying for it?" obviously won't donate, so if the rewards are decent enough, then not only will we get the title, but no one will feel cheated.

Yeah, I cried too to be honest. Seriously. Couldn't help it. I've wanted this for so long and didn't think it would happen. To say I was excited is an understatement. I've honestly had dreams about a movie happening and when I'd wake up I was very upset that they were only dreams. I adore Kristen Bell but would even get sad seeing her in new stuff and realizing the more time went by the less of a chance of this happening. I'll probably need to take something to get to sleep tonight because this will be on my mind. You can be sure I'll be having dreams about it tonight. But tomorrow I can wake up and know it's a reality.
