I ordered the Sainsbury exclusive as I'd rather have extra features than a metal box (and its cheaper). Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the steelbook so I'll see what it looks like when I get it and return it if I don't like it. The photos so far are a little disappointing, I was hoping for a bright high gloss red but it looks rather metallic and weak.

Picked up my copy from HMV this morning (£19.99) Asda were selling the lenticular for £13 (which i do not think includes the DVD) but im glad i paid the little bit extra for the steelbook it looks amazing and for once the J Card does not have any glue holding it in place

Love it. Regardless of all the people that don't like it, I think it looks amazing. I enjoy the minimalist art style that it has personally.

Here is some more pics from ricster from HDN. He has some interior and shots of the back as well.

It's the perfect example is a properly done minimalist steelbook.

This is what Thor: The Dark World COULD'VE done if just added a title.

I'm glad I went for the slipcover. The steelbook looks too plain and i'm not a fan of the picture on the back. There is nothing special looking about the steelbook, but the red case and lenticular slipcover of the amaray edition stands out.

Regular amaray = red coloured amaray case, lenticular slipcover
Sainsbury's 2-disc exclusive amaray (bonus DVD disc) = regular blue 2-disc amaray case, lenticular slipcover

They could have used a red case and put a red disc tray inside but I guess it's easier and cheaper for them to just use a double-disc blue case. Not like they're already cutting corners by making bonus discs DVD's whenever possible (though that seems to be a running theme with StudioCanal).

Is it worth getting the sainsburys version as the steelbook can hold 2 disks and I'm never gonna watch the dvd version of this.

Just put this into my region A Panasonic DMP-BD75 and it played flawlessly using the remote trick. Same goes for ALL UK Studio Canal Titles and French Metropolitan Titles.

Probably not unless you're desperate. The extras don't look all that exciting. I haven't bought any copies of Rush yet but if I was going to I'd probably go for the steelbook. DVD copy might come in handy one day (laptop, friend who doesn't have a BR player etc) but I guess you could buy the Sainsbury's version and try and sell the duplicate disc and the DVD copy on eBay to cover the extra cost?

With this release I guess you get something pretty cool with each version - the standard amaray has a red case which I haven't seen before. I've seen luminous green-yellow, but not red. Sainsbury's exclusive has a few extra features, steelbook has very nice artwork and a DVD copy. Perks to each of them I guess!

I was looking at it in sainsbury's about an hour ago. Didn't say the second disc was bd or dvd. The slip is nice but has 2 disk exclusive on it which is a shame. It's only 12 quid. Might use a tenner of nectar points on it.

Could go halves with someone who wants it I guess.
