I have not seen screen tear yet. On PS3 or 360 all you had to do to see it is not move your character & pan the Camera around at high speed. I have see pop-in objects on the road while in a vehicle going high speeds. I'm finding the driving controls way too sensitive. I don't remember them that way. My best advise for kicking @ss in large groups (Except gangs with guns) is always wait for them to make the first attacks. Defence is the best offence when doing martial arts. ![]() I like open world games & this will definitely tie me over until GTA releases. ![]() |

Agreed about letting them attack first if outnumbered. Unless you can isolate them, defense is the way to survive and Shen has a nice variety of defensive move attacks. In Zombie Mode, is the entire city open or is it quarantined off into a smaller area? Thanks. |

They added a new fog effect, is it pretty thick on the streets, possibly in the mornings? They upgraded the character models, more polygons. The PS3 had a lot of varied pedestrians and enemies. Guessing they all look more solid here. PS3 had a very large number of pedestrians onscreen at once (50+ easy), so I can imagine the PS4 count. Do the distant buildings appear sharp, or do they blur out as in the PS3 version I wonder? Thanks and enjoy. Sleeping Dogs is a great open city fighting/action game. SCARCE WEAPONS: Only thing is, once the game's completed, be sure to hold onto a saved game with the handgun just to have that to explore with, as ammo becomes very, very scarce and you could lose the hand gun completely after all the main missions are done, which becomes necessary for the aim while driving feature, which zooms closer to the vehicle and looks a lot more cinematic compared to the normal camera view. Shotguns are common in the back of police cars with the ability unlocked for it. The Uzis and other firearms are totally absent long after completion of the game. I can imagine the market place in the alleys is more detailed too, along with the Deli stores and all of the details in them. On the PS3, the books are just shapes and colors, with no readable text. The shop windows look nice in the PS3 with much variety, so that should look good with the upgraded PS4 textures I bet. If you get a chance BluSwagger; let us know how you like the zombie mode DLC and some brief details if you can. That is the deciding factor for me on when I'll pick this one up. Thanks! ![]() |

To use an umbrella during the rain, take an Umbrella from the ground after knocking it out of a person's hands, then get into a car, step out with it and Wei Shen will put up his umbrella to keep dry. He won't use it any other way from what I tried.
This game is funny, I was practicing my double kick and a Noodle Vendor said "Hey, try some noodles!" Wei kicked him down and he fell on the ground and said "Two for one." It was really comical since he kept saying his sales pitch, face flat on the ground. The game has a realistic sense of being there, when you are in the market areas and you hear a lot of people calling out to try their fish, noodles, ice cream, soup, tea, etc. It feels like a real market atmosphere. Only complaint is when the cops leap and take you down, you have to press the X button or whatever button it is, in a split second. It'll still be there as though active to press (timed event) but you'll get cuffed and lose money anyway if you weren't fast enough. Cool. Does the city look blurry in the background on the PS4 version? Or is it sharp and clear, as in Watch Dogs I wonder? |

![]() Yes, I heard the PC version is comparable to the PS4 version. Here's a really good review highlighting that while the PS4 version is a clear step up from the PS3 version, it is still comparable to PC. He said it looks great on PS4 and gave it a B, citing his enjoyment of the game. http://www.gaming-age.com/2014/10/sl...ox-one-ps4-pc/ JAPAN GTA6: I agree, it would be nice if GTA6 opens up for a visit in a location out side the USA. Japan would be cool. We need more cities to explore in open world games than just the ones we've seen so often. The Getaway was nice for London. That is what is great about Sleeping Dogs visiting Hong Kong. The city is a sight to behold. Especially at night. I'm tempted to pick up the PS4 version, for the graphics and the DLC. Playing the PS3 version is a lot of fun, just to goof around in the game. If this PS4 version sells enough, there might be a sequel. |

Agreed. I really enjoyed this game. One of my fav titles from last gen. Can't justify the full retail price because I played it on PC with the HD texture pack, but once the inevitable sale hits I'll be all over it. Again, fantastic game. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Square Enix should invest in United Front Games, to make an open world game, whether it's a sequel or not. Though a sequel would be nice of this one, though maybe he can explore a new location to keep things fresh.
Some of the missions where a ton of bad guys are wielding knives against you can get really tough, since they keep stacking up in numbers, one after the other with no end in sight. I see the PS4 version includes a giant island to explore separate from the main city. |

I see there is a costume for Agent 47 from the Hitman series with a hand gun, and also one of Rodriguez from Just Cause. Bruce Lee's yellow jump suit too, though that one is in the original game also. Sleeping Dogs is definitely one of the better pure Kung Fu games available out there. The fights are based on real moves and for the most part, realistically portrayed without counting any special powers in the other DLC add on suits. |

I am basically in the same boat. Diablo III has taken all my time since I purchased it and I am half way thru my first play through on PS4 for the last of us. I am almost done with Diablo and it was a toss up between Evil within and sleeping dogs but since I still have last of us to play and evil within is on the same lines as TLOU i think I'm going to pull the trigger on sleeping dogs first.

After that, not sure if I will play Sleeping Dogs or TEW first, though. Like you, probably will go with SD first as TEW and TLOU are ‘kinda’ similar. But honestly, I don’t see my play of Diablo III waning anytime soon. I’ve finished it in co-op mode with a friend of mine and we are running bounties and rifts, right now. But still haven’t finished it with my single player campaign, never mind wanting to work on the trophies for the game. I have a LOT to do, yet. And I am still enjoying it a great deal. When that changes, then I will switch to another game. |
