I'd say my copy of Sucker Punch, the Comic Con version. It's a beauty!

I don't think I have any that are particularly rare (Yet) Most of mine are BB/Target/Walmart exclusives really... I've imported some so those might be "Sort of" rare for U.S. people like 47 Ronin (GER), Firefly (UK), The Purge Anarchy (UK), Braveheart (UK), The Hunger Games District 12 (CAN), I also have Dredd (JPN) and Iron Man 3 (UK) on order... Not really "Rare" but I only started 'collecting' in the last year or so. Still learning and all.

Would love to have some Blufans or Kimchi's to my collection, lol.

Are "hard to find" and "rare" and "grossly expensive" synonymous terms?

If so, my Futureshop Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would be the rarest item in my collection. I know it's an ironpack, but it's darn close enough. And a thing of beauty. And still the most I've ever spent on one of these suckers.

Otherwise, Zero Dark Thirty from Best Buy, Maleficent from Zavvi, 3:10 to Yuma from Zavvi, and soon-to-be (when it arrives) Blufans Kung Fu Panda round out my top 5 rarest steelbooks.

My favourite:

No unsightly ratings logo on my copy, though. Very clean and well done case.

The German Kill Bill I and 2 set with her in the black leather not the yellow is pretty rare I think... I know it was hard to find and expensive; though it doesn't seem to be as difficult now!

I lol'd at "mutated to a steelbook freak "....cuz that's exactly what I did.

I just got Forbidden Planet because I think it's beautiful, and I'm a sci fi freak.

I'm glad I pre-ordered this one. I still have it in the shrinkwrap. Definitely didn't think it would be such a rarity.

I was able to snag a copy from Zavvi when it popped up for a minute during the sold out pre-order.

Same for Sleepy Hollow. Some copies were damaged and were never sent out, making it ultra rare. Another lucky strike from Zavvi.

Same for GoTG1/2. Knock on wood!

Pre-ordered this the second it went live. I ended up buying the rare 2010 steelbook off eBay a few years ago.

Nosferatu was also immediately ordered as soon as it went live on Amazon UK.

I know what you mean. I missed out on it when it released & just got a copy last month. I kept following it on eBay until one popped up in the condition I wanted at a price that wasn't too bad.
