Sure, Webb might not get invited back for more Spider-Man, but I don't think most people put the blame on him as a director. The last Spider-Man film had some pretty major script problems. The directing could have been better too but it wasn't as bad as what Schumacher cooked up for the Batman series.

Joel Schumacher didn't write the scripts for his Batman films.

No editing job could have saved The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Warner Bros. also meddled with Schumacher's Batman films.

Man, there's gonna be some sort of kick ass story about all this once the dust settles. This adds another Marvel movie to the slate, they're dominating.

The only way Tobey would come back as Spider-Man is if he joins The Expendables team in a unofficial kinda way.

I like Tobey as Spider-Man, hated Garfield, but in all seriousness it makes sense to go for a younger actor..

I agree he looks good for pushing 40, but it just makes sense for them to go for a 23 yr old, in the long run especially. Marvel is smart for wanting a young Spidey.

They could have him in college at the start. Bypassing the origin completely. Of course if he makes appearances before his actual movie, it'll just be him as Spidey.

I am just so pumped for Spidey to be in the Marvel movie Universe, before they even started Spidey was always the most well known hero from Marvel. Imagine what heights they can bring the web slinger to now?

Give Spidey the treatment he deserves. Finally in the same universe as the Avengers.

Just watched The Maze Runner last night. I think the main guy, Dylan O'Brien, would be a solid choice for Peter Parker.
