My recommendation could only be to watch a "Blu-ray 3D" disc followed by the same movie from a 2D Blu-ray disc. If you can't tell the difference and enjoy each then be happy, but see an eye doctor because you may have an issue with one of your eyes.

On the fly conversion is vastly different then the process used post production on recent films!

This or something similar has been said numerous times in this focum on different threads. You're really not enlightening anyone, or convincing them of something. I don't think anyone is going to argue that conversion doesn't stand up to real 3D.

Relax, this thread was about which conversions look the best.

Saw the Raptors-Kings game last night in my new Sony Bravia and it looked good. Couldnt tell how an actual 3D sports event would be as I havent seen any so far .. but I thought the effect was decent yesterday.

While I would wish for all of my favorite 2D films to be released in 3D they would have to be noted as converted and well done!! All new films in 3D should be shot in 3D!

I'm awaiting any 3D releases, however the theme park films that have been discontinued are at the very top. I may get made fun of for this but Captain EO was my first real 3D film and I can't wait to see it again!!!

I've been hanging out for news of the Lord of the Rings extended bluray releases, but what about the concept of them in 3D? Would be great!

And (for giggles) do you know the brownie points I would score if I got Love Actually in 3D?

Default TV Shows You'd Like to See in 3-D?

So assuming 3DTV catches on and television channels start broadcasting more shows in 3-D, which would you want to see?

One show that I loved as a kid, is somehow still going, and would be good in 3-D, is Power Rangers. It's already full of gimmicks and bad special effects anyway!

Here are a few screenshots converted to 3-D from the original series for emphasis:

Yes, Zedd's butt comes out of the screen. Obviously, this is what all 3-D fans want!

This one is probably the least impressive... it's mostly just Zedd's arm showing off the depth.

My personal favorite - love how Goldar really looks much closer than Zedd. Even Zedd's extended fist has depth added.

Never underestimate the power of nostalgia! How else do you explain the huge success of the Transformers movies?

Default wall-eyed, not cross-eyed

UFAlien, your images are formatted for wall-eyed viewing, not cross-eyed. Unfortunately, I'm not able to view (glasses-free) wall-eyed images if they're too large, but cross-eyed viewing is always easy.

Thanks for posting the images, though. They're fun!

Ah, sorry XP

I've never been able to cross/uncross my eyes enough to see those anyway, so I'm clueless XD

I really renjoyed watching Back to the Future Bluray converted to 3D, sure not as great as native 3D but I enjoyed it. I have also tried Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition and Uncharted 2 with the conversion and they both look great with Depth set to 10. Did not stand out a much as Motorstorm 3D Rift which is awesome but I think it did add o the gameplay on both of them, but does take some tim getting used to it.
