Not sure what you want here?
You don't like Amazon.
I like Amazon.

Nothing on the planet is perfect. What works for me, might not work for you, and vice versa.

I still do like store exclusives. What I don't like is jumping through hoops to get them, as I've just explained. I'm not saying my time is any more/less important than anyone else's time, but it is important to me. Now with that said, if a store advertises their excluisve title, I expect them to have it. Not me having to come back later, need to ask a rep to "check in the back, or any other nonsense.
I don't have to do any of that with Amazon....ever. Point, click, sold, delivered in 2 days(or less). No gas wasted, no additional wear/tear on my vehicle, no crowds, etc..
So I'm not saying get rid of this exclusives, just get rid of the store exclusivity, IF these B&M's are going to contantly drop the ball.
If I'm trying to support something, don't make it harder for me to actual support it! For example if you were going to give some money to a homeless person, would you still do it if he asked you to run around the block several times to donate it? Highly doubtful.

Again, if the store doesn't care enough about their own exclsusives...why should I care about that store?
I agree. I do sell some items on ebay and I use bubble mailers. I never had a complaint about anything being damaged, slip covers or steel books. I figure if it ever does happen it would be isolated and it wouldn't justify using a more expensive shipping method that buyers would complain about any way. I do use the cardboard method just to help and buyers seem to appreciate that.

I honestly wonder if Amazon is sometimes shipping out damaged items to begin with. Their packaging is terrible though also. I no longer order from them.

I ordered the Terminator 2 steel from Amazon, it may have been a FBA 3rd party seller but it had the Amazon Prime logo on the page. I received it in a bubble mailer with multiple dents on the front. Each dent WAS ALREADY CIRCLED. Why would you ship out an item with identified faults??

I have given up on acquiring this steelbook, I have yet to see a copy of this steelbook that was dent free.

Yeah 3rd party stuff from Amazon is hit or miss sadly. I love the fact they circled the dents? I mean really?

It's the Scarface ones from that comic book-y lineup a few years ago, I saw them today too, along with all the other ones you listed.

EDIT: Also, not sure if it's been noted earlier, but not all of these are the exact same as the earlier Steelbooks. TMNT's original Steelbook was embossed and nice, this one is just plain with nothing fancy about it. So these aren't just leftovers that they're putting out to clear stock.

I had that happen on a scarface steelbook that amazon shipped to me. The funny thing is the box it came in was in perfect shape but the steelbook inside was dented in half. It was obvious that the damage happened before the even sent it out but the customer service kept trying to tell me it happened because of the shipping.

This happened to me as well from Amazon. The box it was shipped in was in perfect condition yet the steelbook was badly dented. Not sure how this could have happened unless the product was damaged before it was sent out. They accepted the return no problem, though.

Hercules (2014) (Walmart)
The Wolf of Wall Street (Target)

In Canada we had 2 different steenboks for Hercules. The Walmart set was just the 2D version (Hercules standing and written down the side in black the title) and the Future Shop was a 3D release with the same 3D cover art the regular Blu-ray got.

TWoWS was a Walmart release up here and looked pretty bad art wise. Hope they give you guys more of the European cover art design instead

My Best Buy got these today. A day late. Transformers 4 was $14.99. I only got Star Trek. I had all the rest in this version or another.

Same exact ones I saw tonight. I was going to pick up a Noah for another member here, but both copies they had were dented pretty bad. One looked like someone hit it with a hammer along the bottom edge.

Even at $14.99 it's a stretch because the movie is so damn awful.

To release these for cheaper than they were is kinda a kick in the balls. At least they could have made them different somehow.

Some are. Noah is now glossy, TMNT is matte and not embossed, and I'm not sure about the others.

Honestly, Noah looks really nice in gloss and I like the rain & lightning effect is really nice. When you see it in hand, it'll tough for you to resist buying :-)

Picked up SPR today, I would have liked the bonus disc but probably wouldn't have watched most of it anyway. Almost bought Noah but I'm really trying to cut down on the blind buys. I may give in by weeks end..
