Wonder if there will be a IMAX exclusive version in 3D as Guardians. Strange with 3D since Disney have stopped using 3D on US animated discs.

Is there an IMAX 3D version??

I watched it in IMAX but it was the regular 1:2.39 3D version. Was a bit disappointed as I previously thought I had read that the IMAX version would be opened to 1:1,9... But apparently not!?

Is your post a guess, or have you seen a IMAX exclusive version??

There is no exclusive IMAX version. The presentation is the same as in regular theaters.

The odds of an extended cut seem to be shrinking by the day. In interviews with Collider, both Whedon and Fiege mentioned deleted scenes, with Fiege saying "about 5 to 10 minutes sounds right" and Whedon saying he was completely unsure. I feel like they would have been better about teasing a special edition if it was going to happen.

However, in regards to the alternate ending,
[Show spoiler] They did say they filmed a final scene where Pietro was included just in case Disney balked at his death
so maybe that could add credibility to the Amazon listing.

I locked in the 3D version at the 'zon for $24.99. Will definitely be grabbing the inevitable Best Buy steelbook though. I've been collecting them since the first Avengers, so don't want to miss this one.

I know we're a long way off from release day but does anyone remember about how soon before release the exclusive slipcovers were announced for Winter Soldier/Guardians? I'd love to grab one of those rather than the standard slip (assuming there are any exclusive ones, anyway)

I hope your right though, that would be a nice Christmas present if it is out.
I think the Phase 2 box set will be out the same time Ant Man hits blu. The Phase 1 set was supposed to be released on the same day as The Avengers blu and only got pushed back because of the lawsuit over the case.

I really hope there's an epic Phase 2 set. I was in the minority, but I really liked all the memorabilia that came with it. I have Age of Ultron preordered for now just in case no Phase 2 set is revealed but I'm definitely crossing my fingers for a good one.

An Alternate Ending may not be so unlikely for Avengers: AoU's BD release, and would likely be an option to play it in the movie with the regaular ending being another option. Its the Extended Cut that remains to be a sure thing for the BD release.

I'm right with you. I was underwhelmed with the case and Cosmic Cube from the Phase 1 set, but loved all the files and extra stuff included. I'm not sure what they can do for a Phase 2 set but I'll be getting it if one does come out.

From what I understood on the movie there was a LOT cut from the theatrical release, which is why the movie, although filled with tons of great scenes, wasn't very fluid overall. I'd like to see the 3 hour Whedon cut that I'm sure exists somewhere in Marvel studios that actually turns the 75% rottentomatoes rating into the 90% rating we were hoping for.
