The potential problem with that contact is that it's for communicating on Lionsgate shop orders. It would be like emailing WBShop.com about potential decisions on future releases made by WHV or WAC. Those emails might get forwarded to the right department but they might not. Most likely the order department has no insight into the decisions being made or what is being considered.

Do companies not realize that those pathetic auto replies are as bad as ignoring customers altogether? I say if these companies want us to go digital so darn bad - we should. Via torrent.

Although I stopped buying the blu ray sets after season three (I purchased the digital series), I broke down and bought seasons 4-6 yesterday. To be honest, I don't think I would have bought the last two seasons anyway as I never liked the "Nancy" years or the "Pa and Ma-less" year. I think I would have bought the movies though.

This is why I purchased the series from iTunes which gives me the option of streaming AND downloading, which I've done. Download (and backup) for security but mostly watch via streaming through iTunes, Apple TV and iPad. No it's not the same as owning a physical product but it's very close. I believe Amazon's digital store allows you to download as well, but I've never used their service.

If a BD release of the remaining series is not in the cards I hope they at least offer the Little House movies for purchase on iTunes and other digital stores. I'll buy them right away.

You can't download with Amazon except to some specific devices (i.e. Fire) but in general offline viewing with Amazon is a no-go (you used to be able to but they removed that ability). With Apple, while you are correct, the problem is that it's still DRM'd and if Apple loses the rights to the show, your downloaded videos get deleted. This has already happened with other series and shows with the Apple ecosystem. You do NOT own the show, you just have an illusion of owning it. You are basically renting the shows and you might lose them. This is in stark contrast to the blu-ray or DVD where you actually own the disc and don't need to worry about losing your ability to access what you paid for (which could happen tomorrow or 8 years from now). I don't consider the streaming option a viable alternative for purchases (renting is a different story) but I know many disagree. I would probably buy the SD remastered DVD's before I'd buy the HD streaming because at least then I'd physically own the thing. But I'm not planning to do that either at this juncture. Still hoping Lionsgate realizes the error of their ways and changes their mind.

Why is there a pre-order thumbnail up on the homepage for a season 7 Blu-ray? My hopes shot up for a second there.

It was briefly available to pre-order at Amazon before their product page was taken down. The pre-order here at blu-ray.com is therefore stuck in a kind of limbo.

So charge $30 if they need to. I'm fine with that. Just release them. $20 was ridiculously low to begin with I thought, not that I was complaining. Would the fans rather pay $30 for the remaining seasons or not get them at all?

I think this is what's so frustrating. Probably like many fans, I think the "classic" episodes end with season 7. So if they had at least released season 7 on blu-ray, the fans could have had all the classic original cast episodes. But stopping short of season 7 is just a rotten thing to do. I also would have wanted the movies, especially the final movie, which is pretty moving and ends on a pretty shocking note.

I will say that the production values remain high for seasons 8 and 9 also, it's just the change of characters bothered a lot of people.

I'm not defending Lionsgate but they most likely made their decision based on that. I found it odd that they sell the Blu-rays for less than the DVDs in their own shop.

Now that I think about it...
I've never seen any of these in stores.
No spaces for them either!

This sucks.

That 70's show, Modern Family and Little House.

Incomplete sets are worse than no sets at all for me.

If they are going to force me to go digital, it might as be before I spend a bunch of money on their physical media.

I also sent the same email to investorrelations@lionsgate.com. Not sure if that's any better than the Warner Shop address.

Thanks for that. However best case scenario is that comes down to $99 on release day. More likely still just over $100. Ouch. Especially when I paid for 2 seasons and now have nothing I can do with them.

Vudu has the digital copies for $19.99 per season with the exception of the first two seasons. Seasons one and two are $24.99 and $28.99, respectively. That puts the entire series at around $194, if you buy them individually, unless you buy the complete collection which they're selling for $69.99.

I have 3 seasons left so hopefully they'll be on sale over the holidays, otherwise I will pay the $60 to complete the series. It definitely doesn't end strong but I am more than a little OCD about having complete sets.
