Anyone think BestBuy.com will sell out of pre-orders for this?

Yeah, I think it'll sell out online, at least temporarily. It'll still be on shelves no matter what, though.

Question about the pre-order though, $30 is really steep for a best buy steel. I went ahead and pre-ordered, but if the price drops by release date will they lower my pre-order price as well?
Anyone?

Yes they will credit you back the day of release usually. I pre-ordered Guardians Of The Galaxy at $29.99 from Best Buy. The day it came out it was $22.99 they credited me back the extra I paid.

Damn. The German has better art IMO, but it's 2D. Want a 3D steelbook. As of the moment it looks like Australia's the way to go.

I wish the shot of Max on the reverse was zoomed out more. I think the full poster looks good but it's kinda boring zoomed in:

Another poster I would've loved on a steel:

When the 3, 2, 1 countdown flying towards your face prior to the movie is more effective than the scenes in the movie itself, it's a problem for me. I just paid for 3D and didn't get much 3D of anything.

My Bloody Valentine utilized 3D perfectly. You had a pick-axe flying at the screen, or being jammed in the back of someone head in which their eye ball comes flying into your face, and the explosions make you flinch. That's 3D. Avatar had some mind blowing 3D going on as well. But movies like Godzilla, Dawn of the Apes, even Guardians of the Galaxy, it's just a way to get more money in my opinion, the 3D really isn't there effectively. And I REALLY expeced Mad Max to be one movie that would be IMAX 3D worthy, but the 3D was pretty useless.
I didn't see Fury Road in 3D yet, but your ideal for what 3D should be sounds like the gimmicky reasons I usually hate 3D (stuff flying at the screen like it did back in the 1950s). The best uses of 3D I've seen were Gravity and Life of Pi, which added depth to the film, and oddly enough I think post of those titles were converted in post (not shot in 3D). 3D is generally a stupid gimmick to get higher ticket prices and is rarely worthwhile. *drops mic*

Missed Life of Pi in the theater, but it's very visual, so I can image 3D adding to that like it did with Avatar. Gravity looked great, but moreso because of the IMAX presentation I saw it in that made me feel like I was in space. I don't remember the 3D adding much more to it, because that too is very visual to begin with.

The SB packaging looks great, but I'm just gonna order the 3d version from amazon.ca and save some money.

Australia's release is a Futurepak if that matters to you. Also, every time I look at the first poster image, I think of Martin Freeman

I never double-dip unless I'm replacing a movie. I'll have to choose. And it's going to be a tough decision.

Just preordered this. I'll also buy the 3D version and sell everything except the 3D disc to make up some of the cost.

Pardon my no doubt silly question, but what region are we talking for the US steel? I'm assuming region free since it's WB.

Why oh why can't Best Buy ship internationally? Looks like I'll have to use a third-party shipping company to get my grubby little hands on it then.

It's a Warner Brothers release so it's region free.

Thank you.

Can't pre-order right now because my credit card is up for renewal next month and Best Buy "cannot accept credit cards that expire within 15 days of a pre-order shipment date." *Groans* Good thing I'm patient.
