Finally Black Mask. Hope they get a vet actor on this one and can pull off a gangster role. Ray Liotta would be my #1 choice.

Black Mask is not a mafia based bad guy.
He comes from the same old money as the Wayne’s.

Please recruit an actor outside of The Godfather, Goodfellas, Sopranos realm.

That's a rumor (grain of salt, it started on Reddit) that says Alexandra Daddario & Blake Lively are the studio's top choices for Huntress & Black Canary for Birds of Prey.

That doesn't sound good to me. I'd like Vanessa Kirby & Sofia Boutella as Canary & Huntress.

Lively has talent so I could see her being at least decent. Dad Dario is just terrible. If she wasn’t as good looking as she is, none of us would have never known who she is.

Birds of Prey’: Here’s who’s in the mix to star with Margot Robbie

Margaret Qualley, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Cristin Milioti have tested for the role of Huntress. Justina Machado and Roberta Colindrez have auditioned to play Renee Montoya, a lesbian Gotham police detective.

Cassandra Cain will also appear in the movie as a 12 year old girl, and Warner Bros. is looking to cast an Asian actress.

The Hollywood Reporter says other actresses are also in the running, but doesn’t mention them by name. They say that Warner Bros. is looking to make casting decisions within two weeks.

Still no word on who will play Black Mask, the villain of the movie. Stay tuned to Batman News for more Birds of Prey news as we get closer to January.

Why are they looking for Black/light black Actresses to play Black Canary. Dinah Lance is and always has been white. Ugh stop race switching to appeal to the pc crowd characters. Man DC Can't get Black Canary right on Arrow or this

This one is on DC, they have a sever lack of black female characters. I doubt they have plans for her so they could have used Vixen. Or maybe Rocket, since that have the Milestone rights issue taking care of.
