I am selling both, but only for retail price to members on here that want them.

What was the retail for the Shock and Gore set? I can't even find a webpage that lists it since there's no remaining product pages in existence for that set.

I have Billy bookshelves too and at this point, I'd say the best would be to place it above the top shelf.
I have the issue with the Lawrence of Arabia LE : while it can be put inside a shelf, it clearly goes over side of it (fortunately, it's not in the path to the couch).

Wow so that's not even much more than the smaller Feast set. I figured with the heft of the big set combined with the 500 vs. 2,500 made would've meant a higher MSRP.

Really torn about what to do. Would be nice of course to make a cool $500 to feel better about my initial (and somewhat irresponsible if I'm being honest) investment. And I'm going in blind to these films and am still not sold on the sleaze/gore/exploration subgenre, but the passion and enthusiasm of its adherents is almost more fun to me than the films themselves. And such a rare, beautiful set...might want to just enjoy it for myself over the years whenever I fancy.

Actualy its a pretty big difference in price considering both copies have all the same discs and materials on them
From the uk tne regular set could be found for 80.57 gbp when you take off vat to usa which comes out to $98 shipped to usa
So your paying double the price for a more limited set plus all the other swag

But I don't know where else to go because I don't know if I want to wait on it. Have a bad feeling, as I said, that these are going to flood soon on eBay with scalpers / flippers.

I'd still be fine with a $200 net if that happens, but I'd rather be happy with $400 net.
I'll start the bidding at where I'm comfortable parting with it (right around list since it's all profit anyway) but with a much higher Buy It Now/Reserve.

On second thought, I'm going to go big and see if I can get a bite at a higher price, then lower is accordingly.

This set looks more expensive than the combined budget of the films included in it.

Big book looks real cool, and I wish the novelization was something I could get for $8 somewhere.

I'll give you 50 bucks plus The Car on Blu-ray and a few old Shriek Show dvd's. You simply cannot turn this down. I'm actually cutting you a deal here. **** it, I'm throwing in Swamp Thing on blu-ray too just to sweeten the deal. You know you can't refuse!

Edit: Now that I got you on the hook I'm lowering my bid to 35 bucks, plus the Cheezy Flicks dvd of Wicked, Wicked... in DUO-VISION.

Edit 2: I'm garnishing this deal with a near mint copy of Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul. If you pass this up it's your loss.

Sorry to divert the conversation away from HG Lewis for a moment, but thought this would be better discussed here than the regular Arrow thread: So, has anyone asked Arrow or MVD why the 2-disc non-LE "Special Edition" of Bride of Re-animator hasn't been sent out yet? Apparently it's been out for a while now -- did Arrow change their minds about backers getting it?

Golly, this is tempting. do you have any ball bearings and glass shards you could use to sweeten the pot?

You drive a hard bargain. Okay, I'm throwing in the glass shards and the ball bearings, but I'm lowering my bid to 30 bucks and I'm adding the dvd of the holiday classic Jingle All The Way in "pretty good" condition. You like trucker movies right? Play your cards right and I might throw in the Cheezy Flicks dvd of Sam Peckinpah's classic Convoy. It's easily his best film.

Is that the DVD where the cover insert is pixellated and super low-quality?

It's the one where the picture is squeezed out of it's original aspect ratio, the way Bloody Sam intended. Did you ship it yet? Haven't received a notice on my end. I'll check again in a few.
