I'm at work, so I won't know til this evening at the earliest. I do have the Blu-rays for Assassin's Creed and Sing with me, but I doubt either one is D2D eligible(plus they're already in my UV collection).

I get that it needs to know your location to make sure you own the disc, but the fact that it needs to know your location even when not using the app isn't cool with me.

Same here. Never mind just got it to work on It Follows which I already have. I tried about 20 others that should have worked and didn't though.

not allowing me to scan, even with gps on, its saying gps needs to be turned on, so maybe not live until 12pm pst?

I just successfully converted one (The Wolf of Wall Street). You scan and submit purchase. It then sends you an email which you have to acknowledge you agree to Vudu's Terms of Service. You then have to click another link to complete purchase which brings you to Vudu's website which requires another click of "Checkout" and acknowledgement of agreement to Terms of Service.


Here is the relevant section of the Terms of Service for Disc to Digital conversion:
Disc to Digital:

You may have the opportunity to convert your physical Blu-ray and DVD discs into electronic copies that may be stored and viewed through the Vudu Service via the In-Home and Mobile (In-App) Disc to Digital programs. The In-Home and Mobile Disc to Digital programs are only available for physical Blu-ray™ and DVD titles that have been legitimately purchased and are presently owned by you and have not been previously used in a Disc to Digital conversion. You may convert a maximum of one hundred physical Blu-ray™ and DVD titles per calendar year for the Mobile Disc to Digital program. Additionally, you may only scan to convert your Blu-ray™ and DVD titles while those titles are eligible for the In-Home or Mobile Digital to Disc programs.

Vudu Disc to Digital is patent pending.

If you are on iphone, it appears you have to unfortunately grant it access to location "Always" as opposed to only while using app. I was running into same issue and when I changed to "Always" under settings, it worked.

I just tried to use the desktop app to convert and no luck on the 10 items 50% off deal, I guess unless i did something wrong it's dead

and the in-home d2d page, which earlier this morning was still working and mentioned the 50% off, now redirects to the in-mobile d2d page (which just has a link to download the in-home app)

Same here. Tried it on like 20 discs, most of which I know work, and only 1 was recognized (and it correctly said I already own it in Vudu).

So far this is actually a step backwards from their previous system! YAY!
...and here we thought this UPC system would eliminate the problems with unrecognized discs.

It tells me that the two phones I used aren't eligible. Possibly because those phones are rooted and running custom roms. Not an unprecedented eligibility requirement.

It never read in home? According to UV, I added that via VUDU nearly 4 years ago and I'm 99% certain I did it via D2D.

yes, to the best of my knowledge it never worked at home. Have you ever done any in store?
Or I know I ended up just buying it with credits when it was a Vudu monthly $6.99 title. Might you have just bought it too?

thanks that worked for me and i was able to convert a film that the old vudu computer disc scanning program could not recognize. which is great for me since my local walmart has never support d2d conversion in their store.
