Yes Knightmare I seem to remember, but Battle Of The Planets I'm afraid I don't. It may be that I have seen bits of it without knowing what it was - I can remember lots of scenes from the depths of my memory from kids TV as a child, but can't put a name to them sadly.

Don't bother buying the Blu-ray. I made that mistake and wished I hadn't bothered. It's a German release (English audio), and the picture quality is very average to say the least. The death scenes however have all been butchered. I had never seen this film before, but all the scenes can be seen on YouTube in full, it would seem. However you see none of this on the disc! Save your money.

Somewhere in my mind, this is floating around. I can’t recall it at the moment but the images look familiar.

I don't remember this one at all sadly, even after having a look at this YouTube clip which I thought may refresh my memory. It must be going back a bit, as even in the opening studio logo, it says "in colour", which goes back to a time when many viewers were still watching on black & white sets.

Pipkins - YouTube
Yeah, but we used to get a lot of repeats of much older shows. I’m sure this one was shown.

The kids show that is closest to my heart is Huckleberry Finn and Friends. That theme tune just melts my heart and takes me back to the happiest time of my life. It was a bloody good show as well.

That's true, I guess this one must have escaped my attention somehow.
The thing is I can still remember theme tunes and songs from kids shows, but wouldn't be able to tell you the titles of them. Now that is annoying.

Sorry, that came out wrong. What I meant to say was it must have been a while back when it was originally broadcast. But yes, indeed it would have been repeated at a later date.

Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I find the theme tunes to shows from our childhood are far more memorable than what you hear in today's programmes - both kids and adults shows. And there's nothing like seeing and hearing an opening title from a bygone TV programme to bring back happy memories.

Because that time they made the effort CV19 to make quality shows and theme tunes like the A-Team , Knight Rider and Magnum P.I for example.

I loved BotP, but it was a seriously butchered version of Gatchaman. The west never even got the last 15/20 episodes.

Of the various changes made across the two versions, Galactor probably underwent the most drastic, although it may have got a good number of parents out of an awkward conversation about what an hermaphrodite was....!
