My wife went up town earlier to do the shopping & pick up the Blu edition of Infinity War from the Co-op, as it's the only place in town to sell (at least some...) new releases.

I was genuinely shocked by the sticker on the front...

Don't know if any other HMV stores are like this but the Reading store are selling the 3D edition (as well as the DVD) without a slipcase. Only the standard Blu has it.

Not a single IW 3D slip at my local HMV....which is probably just as well considering the dog-eared state of their Avengers 4K slips.

Asda had plenty of 3D slips...but every one was ruined thanks to the 4-sided security strap/tag thingies that they use.

They're Spider-Tagging normal Blu-rays? They'll be putting GPS chips in their bananas next.

Those spider tag things are awful and do a lot of damage on soft cardboard packaging but it is very tricky for retailers to stop scumbag thieves from helping themselves, I'm not sure what else they could do. It's annoying damaging the packaging though.

Who remembers the old days when you bought VHS movies? They would often have dummy cases you'd take to the counter where they would exchange it for the real thing. This is reliant on having someone permanently staffing the entertainment section, with most supermarkets unwilling to do so these days.

A pity, as it stopped all theft from stores at the time.

We used to have entertainment counters at our ASDA and Morrisons stores, the ASDA one was decent as they a stockroom behind the counter, but when Morrisons started taking discs (and they got rid of their counters) out I don't think I've bought anything for a while there.

It varies from store to store where we are, you can go into one and all the vinyl has been Spider-Tagged and in another they'll just be left untouched.

Some of ours still have "for display purposes only" boxes for some titles, but most are games.

My nearest HMV keeps their 3D and 4K movies behind the counter with just display boxes out in the store.

Can someone pretty please post the pictures of the UK 3D Blu-ray including the slipcover? That would be awesome. Thank you very much in advance.

I have a video going up soon, but I know some people get a bit aggy when you post your own videos on here — or even talk about them.

(Hopefully this comment doesn’t get me banned for a week)

I will watch your Video Just a quick question: is the slipcase cover of the 3D Version the same as the 2D slipcase cover (aside from the red bars around it, of course)?

All are exactly the same, only difference is, as you say, the red bars on the 3D and the black bar atop the 4K.
Actually thought the border-less 2D is the nicest slip out of the bunch.

Damn, that's pretty lazy of Disney UK. After the different covers for "Black Panther" and "Thor: Ragnarök" for all 3 versions I had high hopes for "Avengers: Infinity War" also had different covers

Could Disney try less? Thor Ragnarok had a lovely starburst slip, Black Panther was embossed. I guess we're lucky to get one at all ...

Went into Tesco looking for the big sleeve edition..... Nowt, nada zilch. Asked about the 3D version...... Nowt, nada, you get the picture,..... Their piss poor display had dvds only and the only two blu-rays they had were on a shelf somewhere else in the shop.

Went to Asda and they at least put an effort into their display..... Figures from the film for sale placed next to the discs, a decent number of the 3D and normal blus and they all had slips.

Asda got my 18 quid.
