I understand what they're going for... and I don't come to these forums to crap all over everything... But I really hate it. :/ I guess I'll just get a digital copy or the standard release and hope for a re-release.

I'm in the "love the steelbook" camp on this one. Makes me wish they did that kind of artwork for the steelbook for part 1, because that one is incredibly lazy.

Thank you! Somebody here gets it.

I don't understand why this Steelbook is receiving more flack than The Incredibles 4K Steelbook, whose artwork was also inspired by its end credits. The film is practically littered with sophomoric humor, yet some collectors want to indulge in the art of afternoon tea when it comes to this release (I don't need to see your pinky; I know where it's been ).

Add me to the "love the steelbook" camp. I'm happy that this isn't a Disney Steelbook.

I think this is more than likely, considering the amount of re-releases for the first movie.

Looks like it comes in a plastic slip from that video. It'd be cool if studios started that trend.

Yep, a hard plastic slip would be a nice addition to any steelbook.

It’s really not a bad looking steelbook. I’ll pre-order this and decide which to keep- this one or FilmArena’s.

Yeah, I think that is misleading. I highly doubt (as awesome it'd be) the steelbook is all lenticular.

I like the Steelbook, I like that it's different. Plus I think that with the red, it will really stand out on the shelf. I got it pre-ordered!

Damn, I'll have to order this, hope the disc artwork is not exclusive for this release like MCU steelbooks

I think people aren't liking this steelbook art because it really does look like a 5-year old drew it and while yes, even though it aligns with the art style of the end credits, it's not aesthetically pleasing to those folks who aren't fans of this steelbook.

Perhaps, also because it looks like something they could easily draw, whereas something like The Incredibles end-credit style isn't and has clean lines and can be found to be aesthetically pleasing.

Somebody could “easily paint” a Jackson Pollock painting too, but theirs won’t sell for thousands of dollars.

There are many varieties of art. You don’t have to understand it. The Deadpool 2 steelbook is beautifully designed and certainly much more effort went into it than most generic artwork we see.

Art is all relative and its beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I was simply providing a possible explanation response to the "I don't understand why this steelbook is receiving more flack than..." post.

PS - I think Jackson Pollock's paintings are utter sh!t.

Oh you're right, it is. That's unfortunate. I remember I got his inclusion in the movie spoiled because I saw it a week late, and Fox decided to release a HD picture of him that got spread all over the internet.
