Right on! These films probably shaped a good many fans love of horror, in the cinema.
They keep releasing them, and I will keep buying them.

Hey Sno! Good to see you.
I’m doing much better now that my Bane SS EX statue arrived.

Between this set and the Creature/Invisible Man singles, it’s gonna be an expensive Universal Monsters month!

Good month though and that Bane statue looks awesome, I haven't bought a lot lately due to building out the home theater room. My budget went way over for that haha.

Finding any of these was a treat on TV in the 60s/70s -- to the point I bought several of them on 8mm film, they came in 3 or 12 minute reels and I played them at home (with no sound.)

Now 30 movies at a whim.

But as far as I'm concerned the 31 Spanish Dracula should be counted as a separate movie. It's a different cast and a different cut.

I believe it is because if you count all the films listed on the cover it only adds to 29!

Edit: recounted. Nope it’s 30 so I guess Spanish Dracula makes 31!

I, myself, would replace The Monolith Monsters with Monster on the Campus, and Cult of the Cobra with 4D Man ( which was distributed by Universal International). Kino announced that they were going to release 4D Man on blu-ray, but, later announced it was cancelled. Hope they try again.

Oh man, I miss the days of walking into Tower Records and seeing all of those laid out on a shelf. I remember picking them up a couple at a time over the course of a year.

Will the booklet be the same as the DVD set? How different is it from the one in the original Classic Monsters 8-film BD set?

They didn’t count it as a film in previous sets. The 30th film is almost certainly a separately-packaged Phantom of the Opera.

Yes that’s why I corrected myself. I thought it was 29 films listed on the packaging not 30 but I recounted and I was wrong. It was 30 which makes Spanish Dracula an official or unofficial 31st film.

This is a fun collection that I hope someday gets an upgrade

I can recommend the DVD set in the meantime since it's pretty inexpensive.

Home Theater 101, Right? When your setup consisted of a projector and a portable screen. I really felt like I hit the jackpot when I upgraded to a 8mm/Super 8 Sound projector and a speaker. That opened the door to quite a few Public Domain titles like Night of the Living Dead. Good Times!
