I have this release. The j-card and the set-up menu on the disc don't specify. What's the easiest way to tell the difference?

Thank you very much for these. I happened to be watching my copy of the Funimation release today and noticed that during the chase scene between Spike and the army jets the stars disappear in the background when the camera pans, around 1:33:40. I double checked my Image Entertainment copy and unfortunately it looks like it has the same problem. I am thinking about just buying the Dynit release, but are you able to say whether or not it has this same problem? I checked an old BD rip I had (perhaps from the Japanese BD) and it does not have this issue, the stars remain in the background during the camera pans.
I was a bit disappointed since I felt fairly confident in this release before noticing this. I wasn't even looking for flaws in the transfer, just enjoying the film, but this put a bad taste in my mouth... This is not the first time I've been disappointed with a Funi release but I keep going back since they license many of my favorite shows and films. I guess I'll have to start looking for overseas release more. |

I’d check back in the next day or so. Some of the OOP LE box sets have been getting restocked after being marked “Sold Out.”

My Cowboy Bebop movie steelbook arrived yesterday in mint condition. It did have a loose disc which makes me wonder if that's why it came back up in stock. I know some collectors do return steelbooks if they have loose discs. Of course it wasn't scratched or anything. So happy!

Me either. Not with blu-rays or 4K anyway. I do remember getting scratched loose disc DVDs back in the day.
