I want to pick this up, but do we think there is any chance Shout will give it a new 4K release? Sounds like this is a nice print, so may just get it anyway.

Being a big fan of this movie (and not in a "so-bad-its-good" way), I would buy a 4K edition. But I agree it isn't likely (from Scream Factory, at least). The blu looks great, and it's a striking-looking film, particularly in the climax.

I feel confident that once they iron out any legal issues, they will be pressing a 4k disc. Lets just hope there are no creases in the cover art.

Just watched this again for the first time in probably 10+ years and... wow is the acting terrible. Ted Levine looks like he absolutely mailed it in on this one. He talks like he has a wad of chewing tobacco in his mouth.

The disc has some audio sync issues as well.

Regardless, still enjoyed it.

Just watched the Arrow blu and thought it looked great. Compared it to one of the caps from the Shout disc and it seems like the Arrow is slightly cropped to fill the 1.78 frame. Weird decision, especially since the back and the booklet mention 1.85. Seems to be worth grabbing over the Shout for the extra features and likely better encode outside of that though.

Based on the previous pages, there seems to be a lack of clarity on the transfer details - the booklet suggests it's a 4K transfer with a 2K restoration.
