To whom it may concern, whether you're using the codes for yourself or for your buyers:
THE CODES ARE NOT REDEEMING UHD IN VUDU, they only redeem HDX in Vudu. Use MA or FandangoNow (FN) for a UHD redeem. This may change, it's an error and Vudu will probably correct it, but for right now do not use Vudu to redeem. |

Love it when studios re-add extra bonus features to their 4K release that were previously a retail exclusive disc. Can't recall how many other 4Ks got this treatment, but I do remember Paramount adding the Best Buy bonus disc and Target bonus disc to their Mission Impossible 3 and 5 4Ks in the US. There's probably more that I can't recall at the moment.

That's what I said in the post, use MA. But the point is that most people (i.e. buyers in the trade thread) default to Vudu. And get a nasty surprise if there is a glitch like this.

I wasn't planning to get these yet, but I saw them at WM and decided I might as well. But yet Target didn't have them. Weird how stores will have one thing and not the other and you go somewhere else and it's the opposite selection. Last edited by kevin87; 09-15-2020 at 09:42 PM. |

I enjoy both movies equally but as far as pic quality 22 looks much better than 21, which was a bit soft.

I watched 21 last night and I really have nothing to say about the PQ. There's something weird that happens to me when I watch these types of comedies where I just have no desire, or maybe even capability, to critically think about PQ. Same thing happened to me with Baywatch and Step Brothers. It's not even that I'm laughing or having too much fun to notice visual details. I simply do not care. Wish I had something useful to post, but I don't!

re. the Jump Streets: I've never seen these, so buying the 4Ks was a no brainer, but I'd love to hear some other thoughts on the second one, since I for one don't like the look of it. The 4K of 22 has a rather harsh, unpleasant look IMO. For one thing, it looks slightly sharpened to me (it's the subtle type I might not notice on the projector at all due to it slightly softening the image, but on the monitor it looks unnaturally sharp to me*) and for another thing, I don't like the colours - in combination, and for lack of a better word, it looks unpleasant to me. The BD has a warmer, more pleasant look and I prefer it for now. Mind you that I didn't take a "proper" look, that's just my first general impression with 22. The first one looks nice to me and I didn't get such an impression/didn't feel the need to also take a look at the BD. I didn't compare any of the two properly though. * I'm NOT saying there isn't more actual detail as well mind you (there actually is I think). EDIT: Here's just one example to hopefully show what I'm babbling about (at least re. the warmer look of the BD and ignore the darkness of the 4K cap of course): BD | UHD ![]() ![]() Last edited by andreasy969; 09-27-2020 at 12:29 PM. |
