Well, I don't quite understand this whole process and I'll just wait and see. If this doesn't hit its goal I'm still willing to help in any way I can to get all the sound shorts out and get you guys back on to other projects.

This is literally the only "dream" restoration project I have.

Can this be extended another 30 days. I think then the 70k would be possible.

I don`t understand why the Hollywood elite don`t get involved with this. It`$ a drop in a bucket for them.

Have you pitched this to news shows? Have you asked comedians, actors, and directors to contribute and retweet? Our Gang/The Little Rascals have a special place in the hearts of Americans 50 and older (i.e. people with money).

Create a short impassioned pitch and start tweeting it out to people like Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy (Buckwheat!), Tom Hanks, Stephen Colbert, etc. One of them will pick up on it and get it going for you.

I’m in for $50. I really hope you make it. I’m envisioning all Our Gang silent and sound shorts restored on Blu-ray and sitting on my future shelf...mind over matter...

And for our label in general, since we are a small label with limited capital, if the $70K is not raised, all our other projects come to a stand still (including the title Black Magic, 1949), which we were hoping to announce for a Jan/Feb release soon.

When this epic project was first announced, I was afraid this might happen. Much as I like the Rascals, I hoped from the start this was not a case of ClassicFlix putting all its eggs in one basket. If the full funding for this project does not materialize and it causes enough undue hardship for ClassicFlix to indefinitely suspend operations, then for me personally it was not worth it. It's just my view and I'm not speaking for anyone else, but I think small businesses by their very nature should not take on all or nothing projects if it puts their enterprise at such a risk.

Absolutely , The Hollywood elite sure like to talk and stick there nose where it does not belong but for something like this , They won't send a penny . It's a shame , This should of been funded the first week it was announced .

I lived in Los Angeles for nearly 40 years and still maintain a residence there, plus I worked in the film industry for years. Everything you say in your post is, unfortunately, true. I read an article in the LA Times back in the 90's that stated Los Angeles ranked near the bottom of major U.S. cities when it came to contributing to charities. It may not still be true, but on the whole people in the entertainment industry do not often share the wealth, yet many of them have never seen a spotlight they couldn't stand in front of and preach that others should.

Thanks Echo, but our enterprise is not at risk, it just slows things down a lot when we have to put this much money up front on a project. As well as the previous issues mentioned.

It seems like the funding went backwards with only 4 days left. Did people withdraw their contributions?

Yes, it was an error which resulted in a previously large donation getting refunded.

Here's my two cents: If this campaign fails, write a freaking press release and distribute it to the entertainment sector. Then call/write some journalists and pitch them the story.

You're trying to save history! Create a sense of urgency. And as I mentioned previously, contact some celebrities who would've watched Our Gang when they were kids.

Also, when you relaunch, you might want to rethink the donor premiums. Keeping them strictly related to Our Gang would probably be more effective.

Thanks for your two cents Jar Jar.

We're not re-launching or extending the campaign. It ends tomorrow night.

Hi, David. What happens to the contributions if the campaign fails to reach the goal? Are you moving ahead with production anyway? Or do we get refunded and the project is shelved until funding is secured elsewhere? I still can't believe this hasn't well surpassed the goal...

Here's exclusive leaked footage of me at the bank taking out a loan so I can help ClassicFlix reach their goal:

David earlier made this comment which says they'll still move forward with the project if they don't make the goal, but it may take longer, require dropping other projects, and some other issues. And it's a "Fixed Goal" on indiegogo which means if they don't make the goal, people's contributions automatically get refunded.
