One of the speakers has a slight popping/cracking sound. Crutchfield is sending a replacement and should be here Wednesday.

So I assume it was noticeable with different sources? Hopefully it was the speaker and not something to do with the cables themselves.

I did swap cables around and it was the speaker. Funny, but Crutchfield didn't try any troubleshooting. They simply said ok we'll send a replacement.

Replacement arrived and all seems fine. I now have to install the 2nd layer of acoustic panels from where I left off from. I hesitated when I updated my room with all this 4K stuff, because I didn't know where the rear atmos speakers would be installed.

The first/top layer is basically some acoustic drop ceiling panels, and the 2nd layer are some dense acoustic panels that actually do 2 jobs. Second job is darkening the room when watching TV. Fantastic job of absorbing light.

I don't know if I have purchased from them but I certainly will. Great service !

(I mean ... trouble shooting would be better kind of but they seem wonderful.)
