Wow. Jenna Ortega was absolutely fantastic in this!

I really enjoyed the whole series and just found it refreshing as a whole. It was just a lot of fun and reminded me of the Harry Potter films while also having a murder mystery at the core of the narrative.

At the end of the day, I just had a great time watching this and would gladly tune in for a second season.

I'm not going to say anything bad about it but I watched the first episode last night and found myself forcing myself to finish it. Shame as I love the IP. This seems like another of those on the long list of things that blow up that I just don't get. And I'm okay with that. I've got too much else to watch as it is.

So I'm assuming zero chance of this hitting on a disc of any kind?

Maybe the Tim Burton aspect will help its chances. But Netflix has given up on even releasing Stranger Things on disc… Not a good sign for them caring about home video.

IMO, they are going to release a Complete Series at some point and that's why they stopped.

I watched the first three episodes in full. The show looked and sounded amazing, zero complaints. Jenna Ortega did a fantastic job.

I couldn't see myself enjoying the rest of the show knowing there were multiple episodes left and the Wednesday character being the main character. Watching that tone that much just wasn't enjoyable as the main character. Too much monotone and woe for me. Also, it started feeling like a teenage/young adult type show and again, with multiple episodes left, it was getting challenging to watch and enjoy.

My wife absolutely loved it though and I can see why so many do. Just not for me when it's a multiple episode show. Movie would've been easier for me to stay entertained by.

I feel opposite.....
The show is bland and very difficult to watch.
It's pretty to look at but that's literally it.
I've never felt such anger and dislike towards a main character before.
For me it's completely unwatchable and causes me uber rage.
This Wednesday and I would not get along. Maybe she reminds me of types of people I can't stand. Hard to say, but I've never felt such boredom and anger watching a tv show before.... I feel like they totally missed the mark. Why did she think it needed to be played completely emotionless?
Also, did the boy actors really need to look 30?

For what it's worth the four 'teenage' male regulars are 28, 21, 21 and 13...

Didn’t expect to be typing this, but, it’s a great show!

And if Tim Burton needs a new muse, I think he found her in actress Jenna Ortega! I believe she’ll be his next “Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter”.

As a matter of fact, Jenna playing the character Wednesday is very reminiscent of Johnny Depp playing Edward Scissorhands!!

Nooo, no, no
Jenna’s performance is nothing like Wynona Ryder in Beetlejuice. It’s more like Johnny Depp’s in Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory than Wynona’s by a mile

I'm a little over halfway through, and I'm digging it so far. Sorrrrta reminds me of Pushing Daisies a bit with the tone/visuals. I think Jenna Ortega is killing it (no pun intended) as Wednesday. I always love watching Gwendoline Christie as well. Already had the reveal spoiled for me, but I'm still excited to see it play out. It's got a great energy and some snappy wit. Excited to see if they can keep it up for the season and wherever it may go in the future.

This was excellent.

A little bit of telegraphing of "Whodunnnit" but I dealt the Scooby-Doo of it.

???

Multiple times

Maybe your copy of Edward Scissorhands has a different actress portraying Kim?

…because Jenna in Wednesday is totally and purposely channeling Johnny Depp. Not Winona Ryder.
