People make fun but no actor or movie star ever worked harder.

Apart from Jackie Chan maybe.

To me it’s neither here nor there since it’s obvious the hands of Scientology are largely behind it all.

Nothing but respect for Tom Cruise. I would put him, dare I say, top 20, top 15 all time? Base that on whatever you like. He gives so much for his movies, and he seems to do it for the masses.

Tom Cruise is one of the few actors I have respect for and one of the last few genuine movie stars. You can tell he generally adores his fans and caters to them.

There's a reason that there's a national day on him in Japan.

Filming delayed, yet again

And the budget is rumored to be in the $400 million range...

Let's just say there's a reason another Top Gun is in development. Cruise knows he owes Paramount since MI 7/8 are unlikely to be profitable as they expected when they started them in February 2020.

$25m for a submarine shoot?

In the old days they would've just used miniatures and saved about $24m+

Hardly Cruise’s fault.

The submarine story has been debunked by Paramount. Stop wasting time on click bait websites.

Cruise doesn't owe Paramount anything, that's why he jumped the sinking ship and signed with WB.

Edging towards a $400 million budget.

Quote:
Then, there’s writer-director Christopher McQuarrie’s eagerly anticipated Mission: Impossible 8, which is finally wrapped and in post-production. The project has had a long and difficult journey, with a budget that’s reportedly approaching $400 million amid production delays — partly due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes.

So, the movie already cost $400m and they're gonna have to spend another $100m for marketing... the film has to make $1 billion just to break even?

All of that money will be on the screen. The article even says that Paramount is so happy with the quality of the film that they want to debut it at Cannes, which fortunately is less than 2 weeks before the film’s premiere
