Cool, thanks. I'll test it out.
It would have to be very impressive IMO to earn my 69.99 plus tax, but hopefully it's a fun demo. That's good to know, thanks. |

I wonder if they intentionally let the early demo release to build up anticipation and hype for the game? Those demo releases require someone to type in a very specific release date. It's not some kind of accident unless they set a placeholder and then everyone forgot about it after making a new release date. Get a few lucky people to play it, take it away, and I start to wonder what I missed and if the demo will return.
Looking forward to testing out the gameplay and combat. To see if there is a sense of exploration in the game, or if it's strictly focused on fighting bosses as the main theme, which it seems to be. Quote:
Watching the boss fights, they are definitely going for a very wide boss health meter, much like these very tough boss games. |

Stellar Blade shouldn’t be as difficult. Curious how big the story is with it? |

developer interviews released in Korea https://bbs.ruliweb.com/news/read/195030 https://www.gametoc.co.kr/news/artic...ml?idxno=80284 https://www.khgames.co.kr/news/artic...l?idxno=226134 ‘Stella Blade’ does not require any additional expenses that gamers are not aware of other than the cost of purchasing the package. The only exception is if you create a collaboration costume with another company's IP, that amount can be sold for a fee. -------------------- If you focus on the main quest, it lasted about 25 hours. If you play the game by taking care of all the sub-quests, you should enjoy it for 30 to 35 hours, and if you take care of all the collector elements, you should enjoy it for more than 40 hours. <Translate with Google Translator> So 25-40 hours. |

Friday for the Stellar blade Project Eve demo.
For a demo, as a good rule for the developer, they should probably let the player experience the basic gameplay for part of a level, or no more than necessary. For a gamer playing a demo, I really enjoy when a demo lets me play as long as I want, whether by being able to replay the demo endlessly, or taking my time with it, if there is no timer. I don't want too much spoiled though. Like don't provide the entire map or entire world to explore in 20 minutes. I've played demos that give way too much freedom, to the point I no longer need to play the main game unless the story was really captivating or something. As long as a demo doesn't give the player access to too much, it's a smartly designed demo. One of my favorite demos was on the Playstation 1 Demo disc included with the Playstation 1 console in 1998. It was Soul Reaver, and only gave you access to a small water pool area and a cave mountain structure with a bell tower. You fought a few vampire enemies and then reached the exit. Short, but great, and let you enjoy the gameplay but not giving too much away. MGS1 was another good one, along with Playstation Magazine's PS1 demo of Silent Hill 1, and MotoRacer 2. Sounds like Stellar Blade gives access to a small city area and then that opening boss battle with the companion character, which seems reasonable without giving too much gameplay away. |

As I posted about hoping it’s not like a Souls game, 2 videos showed up on YouTube. 1 from PS Access discussing the game today. It appears it’s more souls like than I thought. -Enemies respawn after taking breaks at camps. -Combat is largely focused on blocking, perfect parries, dodging, lock on is similar too. Now I’m expecting a good challenge. Even if I choose Story Mode. |

But I hear what you're saying. Sometimes game bosses are really cheap with their hits and the player is almost dead in a few swipes of their strikes. Without as much time to spare, rather than repeating the same fight 100 times, I rather just switch to easy mode and get through it already. ![]() |

Stellar Blade demo today? Nothing on PS5 Store yet. Maybe in the afternoon or something.

Sorry, I was thinking of the post in the PS5 Rant thread below: It's when trying to install the game on PS5 from the PS4 disc, it brings up a prompt that says it's on another external HDD and to use that to access it. I think it's when the PS5 detects a game is already installed on a separate external HDD, it automatically refuses to install it on my PS5 or current external different HDD that I have connected to PS5. It tells me to insert the other HDD. Which is ridiculous because what if that one breaks or is lost along with my PS4? I don't know how to access those games from PS5 to a PS4. Thankfully that's not the situation but I have to look on my PS4 and move the game to my PS5 to test it out on PS5. What a hassle. Thanks. Yeah, time is the main factor to these tough games. I'm sure you've completed enough tough games in your lifetime earlier in life. I look back at some of the tough NES and SMS games I completed as a kid, and a lot of it was because buying a game back then was a major event, saving up for it and then carefully selecting the one game that would keep me busy for a good month or more.
