well for me since i got hbo direct tv i just dvr series yes got hbo max but not paying for hdr atmos<-there hasn't been a need for a long time ever since was taken away by direct tv after 1st started

just like civil war i dvr it past week didn't watch on max despite i can sign in direct tv credentials to max btw

well like i said when hbo max changed to max 1st month direct tv users login they could watch shows that were 4k hdr and atmos free

well after that was taken away so unless you want to actually watch content with those 3 features you gotta pay for ultimate plan

i was going to do this few months ago have my dad keep hbo max on direct tv watch hbo and now max channels and then i was going sign up ultimate plan so i can watch 4k atmos and hdr movies

however as of now unless something is max exclusive i can't watch direct tv then i might

heck this is what i'm saying civil war on max saying hdr 4k atmos<-well if you don't have ultimate paln hbo max which is what still 20.99 monthy

since i sign in direct tv to max app if i watch civil war my 4k receiver not going into that atmos however since got direct tv satellite i just search civil war and watch it on tv simple no need to watch it on max app

same goes paramount plus not paying for it can login app use direct tv credentials i only watch stuff paramount plus app if not on paramount plus/showtime channels on direct tv btw

One minus on the show is why are Penguins Twins not on the show when they followed him pretty closely in The Batman movie ? It feels like a bit of a plot hole to not have them in the show.

I like the pilot more than I like The Batman. The Riddler cult is a nice touch. The car shots were quite wonky and the color grading kept switching between scenes. This looks like a Max and not an HBO production in terms of money spent.
Penguinpranos is a logical idea so I hope we can get more than one season if the quality is kept up.

The first episode was fantastic. Colin Farrell was a standout in The Batman and he absolutely deserved this chance to shine as Penguin. I appreciate that this feels right at home in the world set up by that film without cheapening it in it's transition to TV. I'm very glad that these DC Elseworld stories will continue to be told.

Pretty funny that this premiered the same week as Agatha AKA The Spinoff of the Set-up of the Middle-of-the-Road Doctor Strange movie. Straight from the Content Farm.

They are both pretty good series to watch in the run-up to Halloween.

I'll give Agatha a chance this weekend. I enjoy modern MCU in the same way I enjoy a bag of chips, mostly empty calories. I just find the juxtaposition interesting because Penguin feels really warranted and rich, while Agatha just screams content for contents sake.
