I feel I can join the dots to find out what the season finale will be awful waste really.

And with it so close to the end, I wonder if they somehow negotiated a third season before/during filming and just haven't announced it yet. I hope not, these shows do better like 1883 where they tell a complete story. |

There's also The Madison which apparently is part of the Yellow-verse but won't be about any of the stories and will be a spinoff about something else. And CBS is considering a procedural spinoff featuring Kayce.

Decent enough finale I suppose, Dalton made a really nasty villain but the sadistic sexual moments felt somewhat unnecessary, ford and co shone though but in the end season two was far enough.

Solid enough finale though doesn't erase the stain of the rest.
Some talented editor could fix this meandering misery porn abomination of a season to a 4 hour epic worthy of the brand. Off topic it is shocking how many times this thought pops up in the last 10 years of film and television. |

Wow I loved season 1 of this show, but thought season 2 was terrible. It just got worse and worse as it went along until reaching a rushed and unsatisfying finale. This was the final season of Game of Thrones all over again for me, you could tell Sheridan just didn't care anymore. He's doing too many things and it seems like none of his shows are safe from mediocrity after their first season now.
I thought my brother summed this up nicely when he said the scene with Spencer and the kid on the train was like a metaphor for this whole show. He trades away his prized lion tooth that essentially represents everything we as an audience loved about the show, for a crappy pocket knife. It's like us trading our time and money for the promise of a great show, or in this case, a knife that might actually have meaning and serve a narrative function. Instead, it doesn't, and the kid laughs at Spencer for being a sucker, just like Sheridan is laughing at us the audience for thinking this show would actually conclude in a satisfying way. To him, though, it's likely all been a big joke, a paycheck that he's cashed and moved on from. |

Good enough series finale(?) episode, but two hours felt like a bit excessive as most of it wasn't that interesting.
It's unfortunate this show's potential was wasted as it could have been so much better. |
