Better Call Saul CS did the 3 ultimate sins.
1. The packaging. Stacking disc's on top of each other. 2. I was watching the first episode and had to leave so I turned it off in the middle of the episode. When I turned it back on to resume viewing it did one of the things I hate about watching blu ray discs...it started the whole episode over. It doesn't pick up where you left off you have to fast foward to the pick where you left off yourself. Hate that. 3. The last ultimate sin. All the episodes and special features are shown on all the disc. So if I'm on disc one and it shows something under speical features it will tell me to insert disc 4 to view it. I hate this as well |

The Australian release seems to have 20 discs, compared to the US boxset with 19 discs.
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Bette...lu-ray/326364/ Does anyone from there know, if there's some bonus features on a separate disc that the US version possibly doesn't have? |

I'm thinking about getting a different amaray case. Casetopia is no longer available so unfortunately a custom-designed one seems out of the question. I COULD get two 10-disc cases but then that opens the need for custom designed covers which I don't have the skills & patience for. Oh.... boy.

So frustrated with this situation, don't know what to buy now. Being Canadian, amazon.ca has the last 3 seasons on sale but if I buy those I don't know how I can get season 2. S2 seems to be completely out of print and impossible to find. I would probably buy that terrible complete series set if it actually went on sale to $100 or less.
I suppose it's unlikely that the series set would get reissued with different packaging like Breaking Bad has before. |

Amazon Spain has the whole series with tax but before shipping (so YMMV) for 70ish euros. |

On one hand, I got this and wondered why they didn't just put it in the same type of packaging as this "Breaking Bad" Blu-ray:
![]() Then I also remembered that I had to re-glue every disc pouch in that set so they stayed shut. I'm not as bothered by the DVD case as everyone else seems to be -- I got what I feel is a great deal on the set which helps -- but the slip, art, and case definitely all feel lazy. I'm more bothered by the fact that it's kind of tricky to get one disc off of the trays on the front and back cover than the fact that the case is tall. It'd be better if this was a couple of BD cases in a slipbox, like a nine-disc and a ten. |

From my quick counting using the search function on this site's database there has only been 22 seasons of Television released onto 4K disc (this is not including miniseries like Chernobyl or the nature docs like Planet Earth). Game of Thrones and its prequel is nearly half of those seasons. GOT is also the only show I could find that got a complete series release (most of the other shows released to 4K disc are still on the air though).
I wouldn't hold out hope that BCS is coming to 4K on disc anytime soon based on that, but Breaking Bad maybe has a chance if any show completed before the UHD market popped up does just because it is still very popular. Sony doesn't appear to have released any TV show on 4K yet though. It seems to mainly be HBO (or Warner Bros. technically), BBC (nature docs and Sherlock season one), and Paramount, which has released a surprising number of its streaming shows onto 4K with Halo, Jack Ryan, Jack Reacher, and now Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (only a limited edition release though). |
