It's not just that they're scratched. It's that they're scratched to holy hell. I've never seen discs so badly scratched as Shout's discs. I see lots of scratched discs these days by various labels but Shout is in another league.

A Mexican who works at the factory once ordered a Shout disc, and it came without a slipcase.

This is his way of getting revenge.

My 4k disc direct from Shout was a mess, not only scratched up but also with black marks on it. They said they will send me a replacement, so that's nice at least.

I'm so frustrated with new 4k discs being damaged. I might as well just stick with my BD copies.

I’ve had the worst luck with Shout’s discs for over a year now, no other label has scratched discs showing up as bad as Shout, my luck is terrible with them.

What the hell????? On release day??? This has never happened to me on a pre-order.

I'm going to see if I can exchange it in the nearest Target store.

Shout! doesn't seal their Slips anymore, so it really doesn't surprise me much. Their old "guarantee" of Slips being included for the first 3 months or whatever it was obviously no longer applies. There have been reports on the last few releases of people not receiving Slips from some retailers.

Mine arrived yesterday from Bull Moose, and did have the Slip.

Kind of interesting that it states "Under non-exclusive license from Paramount Home Entertainment" on the back cover.

It seems like Shout! could have maximized the encode on the BD-100 a little more fully. It's just 69.9gb, so there was a lot of free space left. Strange they even utilized it as that isn't really all that much more than what a BD-66 holds.

Granted, I buy a huge amount of physical discs so the sampling is still relatively small, but still very problematic.

All the boutiques and major studios using the Mexico replication plant are clearly getting loads of randomly damaged discs. It’s definitely not an isolated Shout thing.

I can only speak of my own experiences of course, and I know other labels have the same issues, too. I don't buy many Shout discs any more, but every time I do, it's a major headcahe due to the scratches. I went through 3 copies of Krampus last month from two retailers and all 3 were heavily scratched. I'm currently now awaiting a replacement from Shout directly.

Same for me! Well, for this release at least - my Clue 4K is en route and should reach me later this week, so I'll know if it has a slipcover then. My Dead Zone slip isn't flawless though, but thankfully I'm not very concerned about slips, so I don't mind. This was actually a blind buy for me, but I'm looking forward to checking it out today!

Got mine from BB, slip and all. Discs are healthy. The movie looks damn solid and definitive. Anybody who is hesitant can buy with confidence.

I must have superhuman luck with Shout! 4Ks because aside from one title (Black Christmas), I have NEVER received a badly scratched up Shout! 4K UHD.

I also received Clue yesterday and that also included a slipcover. That said, my slippy for Clue arrived a bit more beat up than my slippy for The Dead Zone, but otherwise still in solid enough condition.

I'm in the UK and figured - with Christmas mail if I'm lucky - I might get it 29th or more into Jan.
Was confused and figured a mistake that Amazon showed delivery date as Wed 20th Dec.
Normally stuff shipped from the US to the UK takes at least 7 days minimum.

It arrived this afternoon.

Checked postage and was charged $7.57 as opposed to some ultra expensive UPS 2 day delivery at $30-$40.

Work that one out LOL! About to watch it.

Update - transfer looks great - best I've ever seen it and I've only had the DVD.

Yeah I got mine today from Amazon too, premium UPS delivery. Don't know why they've decided to treat us, but I'm not complaining!

Cycle of the Werewolf on the otherhand, took a week longer than normal when it came out back in November!

Received today, with BOTH discs loose inside of the case. Luckily both had only the tiniest scratches on them. Wonderful transfer, and the new commentary track is chatty fanboy fun.
