Hope so as well. I saw all three in the theater as a kid. The momentum for TMNT was already seriously declining by the time of the third film and nowhere near that 1990 or so peak. It seemed like Turtles in Time for the SNES was the last real classic moment for the franchise in the 90s. I'll have to get around to the later seasons of the show. The action figure line really slowed down by the time of the third film as well. But I enjoyed the whole trilogy.

I want the trilogy as well for completionism even if people say the third sucks. But I just have the feeling it'll be just the first one. I hate it when studios do that. Just release all at once. I can understand if it's 7 movies, but just a trilogy?

Well it takes time and money to remaster a film, plus this seems to be coming from a collectors label with new extras being produced. Do we really want to have them sit on it so we can get the sequels released simultaneously? I sure don’t. I might be interested in 2 for nostalgia but you couldn’t pay me to sit through the third one again anyway.

What makes you think it’s from a collectors label? The rights are all weird because of Golden Harvest and now Paramount being merchandise owners for the film as well. A collectors label seems like it would be messy with rights. I’m not doubting you, infact I’d love an Arrow or even Shout release, I’m just curious.

It's not a sure thing, but this post from page 2 provides some context (and some hope!)

I actually like Turtles 3, once you get past the puppets I don't feel its that bad and Raphs friendship with Yoshi gives the movie some heart

3 gets harder to watch compared to the first 2 but I still love it. It was the only one that I saw in theaters and it was with my parents before life got crazy haha.

I’d take all 4 in 4K!!!

I saw three in theaters. I always hated the animatronics compared to the first two. They didn’t bother with the likeness from the previous films.

If Ernie Reyes Jr. is being interviewed, chances are the sequels are part of this.

Warner/New Line owns all US/Canada rights to the original 3 films and also have the right to sublicense them through their partnerships (it could be Shout!, it could be Arrow, we won't know til later). The only thing they don't have as you pointed out is merchandising rights which are in fact with Nick/Paramount due to owning the TMNT property (as well as international and Mexico rights which are owned by Fortune Star, who also have a deal with Arrow in the UK).

As to why we think it'll be coming through one of Warner's sublicesning deals, the man recording the interview in the picture is Justin Beahm and he's done extras for a number of Shout! and Arrow releases and I don't recall Warner themselves for their assistance when releasing their own catalog films in new releases.

If it is Shout, I could see this being similar to the Bill & Ted 4K releases; put out the first one and then - eventually - put out the others and box of all 3.

I think this is very much a Mask of the Phantasm situation. If the title sells well, they'll put the sequels out. If it doesn't, they won't.

As long as we get the first movie by itself, i'll be happy (couldn't care less about owning the two sequels). Man, I'm really hoping it's Arrow and we get something as glorious as their standalone releases of the two Conan movies, with the original poster art and all.

If it's Warner, we won't be getting the new transfer on a blu ray disk, there won't any new special features and we'll get a new crappy artwork for the cover art. This movie deserves so much better!

And I agree with others, this is still to this day the best comic book adaptation (with The Rocketeer a close second, imo).

It is getting new special features, which is why it's highly likely this is coming from a boutique label. We won!

I hope this comes from Warners and for the cover they use a publicity shot from The Next Mutation.
