As always, it is fine for people to prefer one mix over the other. I still lament the lack of an original theatrical mix. I'm not impressed with the Atmos. It has nothing to do with my setup. I just don't think it's a good mix. Luckily SS has the uncompressed 5.1. I will continue to hope for a definitive release some day.

With all due respect, you are listening on "atmos" soundbar. It has everything to do with your setup...

Your preference for the 5.1 track is in line with other owners of the SS disc without full ATMOS setups... In that thread, those with actual ATMOS universally prefer the new track. Revisionist or not, it was supervised and approved by the director...There are no missing cues or effects just "objects" from these placed by the mixer.

As far as the "original " mix is concerned, the uncompressed 5.1 on the bluray and on SS disc is not it either... Members on the respective threads for both those releases claim that the compressed track from the stream is representative of what they heard at the cinema... I'm suspicious of these claims but can confirm that it is in fact a different mix, one that may, or may not be included in this new disc as the lossy option... which you may prefer on your setup.

Does someone have the disc and can conclusively say whether the 5.1 mix is the original theatrical mix (that is purportedly already on streaming versions) or if it's again the altered home theater mix?
