My copy arrived this morning.
I've had a quick look at a few scenes and it looked good. Hard to say how good until tonight when its completely dark. We've got big windows which cause some reflection on the plasma.

Still makes me laugh that I get this shipped to me in the UK for 23rd August and it doesn't even street until 2nd September, let alone the UK release date of the 8th September. Great stuff.

I look forward to receiving the rest of the upcoming huge slate of releases nice and early.

Exactly. To the poster who advised that this movie's pq is not even close to reference quality, I suggest you check your equipment, read the reviews and watch it again.

Anyone ever use Tower's standard "cheap" shipping? I just ordered this and was wondering if it was worth it or not. The site says 8-14 days, but I'm hoping it will get to me earlier. Anyone know, who's used standard shipping from tower before? Thanks!

I just ordered from them too. I can't imagine that it would take that long to get it to you. Even using US Mail it shouldn't take more than 4 or 5 days.

As some of you know, Transformers was THE REASON why I bought blu-ray. Only to end up waiting for it another year.

So with this, I revive TransFUDers. Not everyone liked it, but was worth a few laughs.

just received my Transformers Order on Blu-Ray i ordered it overnight and Fedex just delivered it.. Going to tear this thing in my blu-ray BRB!!

Not at all, but to assume that identical codecs equal better PQ is just wrong. Just take a look at low bit rate VC1 to high bit rate VC1.

Mine just shipped via priority shipping. Hoping that turn into a overnight or 2-day (Monday arrival) shipment being that the estimate by the slowest mail to me was 3 days.

no need to check my equipment, even the reviews at avs and hdd from professionals and in the software forums didn't give the PQ 5 stars. alot more 3-D pop in movies like dead man's chest and I'Robot.

Evening guys (as its 9pm) here in the UK

Got this through the post this morning, and even though I only have a 32" 1080i TV, this is 1 great picture

Anyway to my question: I am watching this film on a UK 60GB PS3 latest firmware (2.42 therefore BD-Live enabled). However when i go to the BD-Live section on the film it comes up with the following:

"NET0010
Your player is not currently connected to the internet or is not BD-Live capable, for possible solutions to resolve this problem please consult your player manual."

Now as mentioned above, my PS3 is BD-Live capable and I was connected to the internet (wireless) with a 100% signal. Is this a problem at my end, or as the street date for this film is 2nd September, that the BD-Live options aren't available yet.
Or (and I hope its not this one) is it because its a US blu ray (even though its region free)
and i'm playing it with a UK PS3.

Thanks for any help in advance
