Yea I feel ya, I have the DSW Pro 500 from Polk and I absolutely love it. I think its a great sub.

I'm going to end up upgrading my whole surround setup from that polk RM6750. I think I'll end up getting some Monitor 30's or 40's as I don't have room for towers and can put them on existing furniture.

I swear though, that eD 300 sub will be mine someday...

Let's work with two scenarios (in case it makes a difference to you)
1) 50's all around or 50's/40's
2) 50's as fronts, 30's as surrounds
Or you could go for the 60's.

Discuss... don't get verklempt...
Whats your budget look like for a sub?
for 220 range bic h100
for 350 range ed a2-300
for 699 range av123 mfw-15

I think it would be hard to find a sub that can touch any of those at their prices each of these can outperform or hang with subs that cost twice as much as they do.

No actual budget... just looking at recommendations and will base a purchase on the wince factor. Once I see a price that makes me wince, I'll look at the next step down, then probably buy the one that made me wince anyways.

But really, Because I live in an upper apt, I don't need something that will sonically fumigate the house (and make my neighbors go running too). I'm a little impatient though... once ordered, dunno if I could wait a month to get the sub (a la the ed a2-300). (Shrug) Gonna force myself to think about it a bit... anybody else wanna chime in, be glad to listen.

If you keep waiting and thinking about waiting, then you're still going to end up waiting. Just order it and forget it. Until it comes of course.

That seems to be a popular center channel that people have to upgrade. Even I have that same center channel.

Yeah, I started with the Onkyo HT-SR800 myself and that's the center channel that came with it. It's alright, but I can tell it's very restrained with voices. Live Free or Die Hard is just down right awful.

i agree! i often find myself over whelmed with the bass and music but still can't seem to hear the voice! i thought it was just me. but needless to say, i'm looking at getting a cs2 any advice??
