You called and spoke to people working retail and take that for confirmation?

I would think that the fact that online places show the item as no longer available is a little more reliable at proof the recall is real.

Not to mention the reviewers that already got replacements.

If you work in retail you would know how quick you would get this kind of information espicially when its only one week away from release....i didnt confirm with just some sales associate...ahhhhhhh i dont feel like going into it....believe what you want....if it is on amazon. or tower. its says pre-order available 9-30-08, fye.com has it avaiable on pre-order and you can actually pay for it...so take a hint with all this mess about people ordering and getting it shipped early why wouldnt they stop that for the time being until things calm down...think about it

I'm throwing a theory out there knowing a little about the details of the format. If the defect lies in the BD-J coding, a bad disc could be made good if you have a BD-Live player. If Paramount posted the new code to the servers that the disc checks on boot up, the disc could download the new code and play fine. There are some assumptions built into my theory, but definitely a realistic fix.

But i'm going to still enjoy my pre-order Blu-Ray movies Transformers,Forbidden kingdom ,Doomsday and Speed Racer.

Mine shipped from Tower last tuesday so it should be here today or tomorrow. I have the PS3 so I may try and watch it

as already stated on this thread, it works perfectly fine on the ps3. But I lend it to my friend and her Sammy BD-P2550 would not read it. It would give a blank screen. The special features worked fine. Heads up to sammy p2550 owners..

That is very true, but I have a feeling that they would be delaying a different release if necessary in order to get this issue resolved for Iron Man.
