Man. Guys. Some of the tracks in this game are frackin exhilarating! Glendale West might be my new favorite track in any racing game. Besides the real tracks, each made up track seems to be designed around a certain section to test a certain driving skill. Its like every track is Laguna Seca, but swap the back end for some other signature. Pretty cool!
There's one track that has you come straight off a wide, shallow, steep Nascar style turn-----directly onto another medium turn that is flat. This throws your car into a wonderful slide oh my goodness. These are my final master settings that will not be changing: PS3 specific: 50% = max Steering Deadzone: 50% Accelerator Deadzone: 15% Braking Deadzone: 50% Steering Sensitivity: 11% Acceleration Sensitivity: 11% Braking Sensitivity: 65% Speed Steering Sensitivity: 65% (I don't really know what this does, but this seems nice) *those settings are for PS3 with a Dualshock 3. They may get you in a nice ballpark on a 360 or the PC versions with Pad X. But maybe not. Universal settings for all verisions: *There are a suprising amount of options to tune if you pick the advanced mode. But the basic tuning mode covers the spread nicely, so just use that* Steering Lock: 48 (you may want it faster for the couple of small tracks with corner after corner) Balance (This is the most important one): Max out the Oversteer. Yes, I said the Oversteer. Downforce: Now, you can play here too, but if you want to really carve corners and have a pretty nice connection to the road feel set it from 80 - 100%. It doesn't really affect your speed as much as it lets on. Driving model adjustments: AI: Hard Handling: Experienced Anti-Lock Brakes: on Traction Control: Low Stability Control: off (depending on your style, you may want the stability control on. I find that with TC low and SC off, it brings out each car's personality better) |

Use a slower car. I mastered almost every corner with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. Just got it thursday but have played only 3hr so far. Started with a RX-8 then bought a Evolution X. Only thing i wish i could do is have R3 my shifting. The R1/L1 though is not effecting my driving...,just was used to R3 shifting. I'm off to race more! Might see you guys on the track.

I hate the drift racing I can not figure it out. I have been trying for hours. The badges are coming along nicely my wife got me a racing seat for christmas so the racing in this game is a breeze for me. I love driving the new Camaro, domination!

What the heck with the controls on this game and why can't I use the buttons I want to use!!!
I like the X as my accelerator and square as my brake.....not the right stick and not the shoulder buttons. ![]() /rant |

Yes! I got this game last week, been playing it since then. Last night on the final series I won all 5 games and when it was loading results it just turned off and went to the XMB. And of course it didn't save. I was so pissed. I'm in no mood to race that all again.

Well this time it didn't reset back to the XMB and I won the series and it unlocked the last race. Odd thing is, when I click L2 or whatever to get Series info and go to the last race, it shows 5/5 stars but under lap time it says "not raced".
Whatever. |
