Now RC-10 are just impossible to find anymore all gone. RC-30 in Canada liquidation for 249$ a pop and soon to be impossible to find anymore.

RC-50 in Canada forget it they're gone.

RC LCR 749$ still full price, RC-R 399$ full Price and RC-70 Full Price at 1249$ a pop.

I was in a show last april in Montreal and I asked the question to the Rep what is coming for the RC-Series, She said they will review the line and will incorporate some of the Veritas Technology and FYI only the Conoisseur line was in Demo at the show so that's an indication of a new evolution of the RC in the near future.

That was going to be my question. Make sure that plate (shorting strap) stays in place. It could damage your speakers if you take them off and try to connect them normally. You should only remove them if you are bi-wiring.

Your Pioneer Elite is nice! I can't wait for you to hear them with the RC-50's. It's gonna rock!

the plate fell off but I put it back and it still seemed to be severely underpowered. I'll mess with my set up tonight and see if I can make some head way.

I can't wait to hear them either! the rosenut looks amazing!

Still a go for that price difference.

At 200$ price difference I would consider buying the RC-10 and if you're willing to buy the RC-R in black for 480$ why not save the 200$ and get the RC-10 from Vanns in Black at 279$ and wait for the RC-R to go down a bit more and complete yor 7.1 later?

Yeah, let us know how it goes. I'm excited for you.

If it sounds underpowered, double check to make sure your (+) & (-) wire connections are the same at both ends (at the speakers and at the receiver). The (+) side of the speaker wire connection at the receiver should be the (+) side of the speaker wire connection at the speaker, and so forth.

Yeah, from what I understood was that they were not going to offer anything but black speakers from now on..... but my local guy said he hadn't yet heard that they were updating the RC series. Is it to be expected, YES, it has been 2 years since the updated Connosieur line, so the timing seems about right....

I'm looking at the pattern here at FS and they always use the same strategy to get rid of EOL stuff.

Last year and a half they had finally got rid of the entire Connoisseur line and now I expect the RC-line to be gone at least for the end of this year let's say.

It's coming for sure I got confirmation from the Energy Speaker Rep.

I intent to attend the show in Montreal again I will give the Totems a listen again

I'll see if I ca get more info as the show is coming quickly.

well you guys in canada would know sooner then we would.

I would expect it to happen sooner rather then later, perhaps there will be a summer anouncement, most of their anouncements happen in August if you look at their website....

I should find out when the official release is at the show to be honest at the end of March.

lol Future shop is owned by BB Canada so yeah it's overpriced but look for the price drops.

FS is sort of like your Magniola stores where they carry Martin Logan, Klipsch Reference, All Polk Audio line and Energy, BB here is getting the lower end stuff.

JBL, Klipsch Synergy, Precision Accoustics Entry level spekers (made by the reseller of HK in Canada). Best they Carry at BB here are Infinity.

Ok so i'm pretty sure one of my brand new RC-50 speakers is internally F'd! only noise coming out of the speaker is coming strictly from the tweeter. I've tried everything to fix the problem, tried the other wire and was still unsuccessful.
Can anyone help me?

are you getting the other speaker to play just fine? You need to make sure that the wires are +(red) connected to + on both the receiver and speaker. and the same for the black. Usually speaker wire will have writing on one wire but not the other, I like to always say that the one with the writing on it, is the the Positive(red, +), and the wire without the writing is the negative. Make sure the bridge is on there tight, use the lower binding posts, make sure the wire is in there tight.

If everything is identical on both speakers and there is still the issue, call the dealer and or Energy. You should get a replacement speaker.

I called the dealer and they were very helpful. He said during shipping sometimes wires will become disconnected, i checked and he was right. Speakers are working and sound awesome! now i just need a sub for the lower frequency levels

RC-50 amazing bass hehe
just as good as my C-500

Seriously as Cpt Dylan mentioned they sound pretty darn close to C-Series we have but with more refinement per say. Hard to explain but all in all they are capable of producing tremendous amount of Bass.

I hope the sound of the new RC line if fairly close to the current one as they really would distinguish from the new Connoisseur line.

Yep and their customer service was great!

I'll probably order the eD sometime next week, did you get your sub yet?

The bass was quite good better than i was expecting but it'll need a sub for sure
