Not great. They charge up front, and won't update you on order status. So if you pay for an item and they haven't shipped it 8 months later, you have to pursue a refund. Similar to how bad Unobstructed View used to be.

Looks like I can't replace it either as it's no longer offered.

This seems to be happening more and more of late. It was bad enough when they used bubble mailers for everything, but these paper recyclable envelopes are much worse. They'll cram other heavy items on top of your one blu-ray movie too.

I'm happy I pre-ordered my copy of Heavy Metal from Best Buy. They actually shipped it in a box with a bunch of air bags securing it in place and protecting it.

they ship within 3 months max if not in stock or you can request a refund and they pay very fast, my experience, I'm about to order another batch tomorrow without no doubt they will deliver or refund if not in stock or if you ask, their customer service is top so far so just a call away or email to know the status of your order

I went through their website yesterday. For the most part, their prices are higher than elsewhere. There is only a small handful of titles at a decent price and in-stock.

which is not true, they got a lot in stock and they have everything, upcoming 4k blu or just blurays, I guess everyone can make their mind checking their website..

They have good deals in-store. They have a really nice setup. Kind of like a Borders or a Barnes and Noble for Canada.

They have great selection for French Canadian films (of course) and have some deals, but you have to dig for them.

Maybe I hadn't phrased my comment clearly. I'm willing to try an order at some point. I was looking for some specific titles which were not in stock. I can only add in-stock items to the shopping cart.

You should confirm whether those are standard editions or inclusive of the VS slipcover. I could be wrong, but I think these copies are fulfilled to Amazon via Video Service Corp (i.e. Unobstructed View.)

There are no slip cover editions being sold outside of VS directly and Bay Street Video and maybe Suspect Video? in Toronto.

FWIW You can buy Death Wish II with slip right now directly from VS for ~$53 CAD no tax and shipping included or $48 for the non-slip edition. Or you can wait until the sale at the end of the year to grab it for less.

Yes, I always order my VS titles directly from the source. He's super-quick at sending shipments out. I placed an order one evening and he shipped the next morning. I'm not a subscriber.

I dunno. I pulled the trigger because it's a bit cheaper and still supporting the great transfer work that was overdone. I was comfortable with the price per film in the end.

This version will almost surely go down in price over time.

Ugh, I only upgraded my trilogy to Blu-ray last year. I'll wait for 8K.
