Yeah that's why I saw It and mother! even though I didn't have the card yet, because god knew when it was gonna come and I didn't want to miss those.

But on the other hand War/Apes, Valerian, Good Time, Atomic Blonde, and Brigsby Bear all left theaters before I got to see them with the card..

I went and saw War/Apes, Spiderman, Atomic Blonde, Terminator 2 3D etc. But some films like Logan Lucky I would have prefered using the card to save money. Oh well...

Well I ordered on 8/25 and had been seeing a card number and the status that it was mailed. Looked today and now there's no card number and it says card processing. I'm guessing atleast two more weeks for me on top of the month I've already waited.

The status in the app means literally nothing, everybody's said Shipped for weeks and then changed to Processing and then people started getting cards

Actually movie pass is pretty good of keeping track of theaters raising prices. Back when I had them before when they were $30 a month I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use my card since my local theaters do tend to raise their prices every now and again. And when they did raise prices I was worried the card wouldn't work but it actually did every time. But yes if it ever doesn't work movie pass is very good about reimbursing you.

I must say I love this service. I have told so many people about it as I really want it to become a huge success. It's the perfect gift for movie lovers.

Same for me. It will be three weeks on Thursday since I've received my card, but I've been busy every weekend and haven't been able to use it.

I caught Lego Ninjago on Sunday and Wind River yesterday so thankfully the card has already paid for itself; might go see Menashe tomorrow too. Really hoping to go see Kingsman this weekend, but I've gotta wait for my girlfriend's card to arrive before we go see it.

So I just received this email from movie pass:

"Thanks for subscribing to MoviePass! Your personalized card has been ordered and should arrive in about 5 business days. Once your card arrives, log in to the MoviePass app and activate your card. You‘ll then be ready to check in at the theater and start seeing the movies you want. It’s that simple! If you've already received your card in the mail, feel free to disregard this email.


Thank you so much for your patience and support. We can’t wait to go to the movies with you!"



I want to believe this is an actual heads up email that my card was actually shipped and not a "hey lets make sure we send this email out to everyone who ordered early on whether we shipped the card or not" kind of email.

We'll see if I get it in 5 days! I'm both excited to finally be getting it and cautious that it wasn't actually sent out.

I just got that email too, which pisses me of because it means I wont get it for ANOTHER WEEK.

But then, others got this email after they received the card so who knows.
