Good info in the article but am I reading into this statement or is the level cap going above 20?

Article states the game opens up at lvl 20 and does mention being above lvl 20 a couple of times. . It makes me think that LVL 20 is when the raids will be available to you.

To my knowledge, Bungie hasn't released the cap yet... but I bet it is probably above 20. If they did it at 20, then so many people would be capped in no time.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't go too much higher though (like 30 tops). It could even be 20 and the lvl 26 thing was a "level equivalent".

It's pretty clear that they are going a similar route to what DCUO did. Leveling is training for end game and then the bulk of your activities are what a traditional MMO would consider "end game" activities - and you have a gear rating (Light rating in this case) that really becomes your new level cap.

It's still the same hamster wheel though - meet a gear rating to go on a raid, to get better gear, to up your gear rating, to meet a gear rating for a harder raid, to get better gear...

This isn't new to be honest...

i enjoyed the beta quite a bit. the end game raids sound fun.

yea we definitely need a BLU clan. I'll be picking it up at launch

As much as I like this game, even love some of it, I'm hoping it doesn't take over my life. I'll pl;an on diving into Dragon Age in November and Shadow of Mordor in October.

So how much time did everybody spend in the Beta?

I had a friend check. I clocked in a total of 79 hours 9 minutes. Obviously if I include the Alpha, I probably clocked in close to 100 hours. Damn, I don't know what to say myself

Guess final game might keep me busy for as long as Bungie claim.

I only had 20 hours of gameplay because the movers packed my TV and PS4 after the 1st couple of days. I can see the full game keeping me busy for quite a while.

Funny I tried to start the destiny beta today and as I knew I get the message the servers are down, but yet when trying to get it while the servers were up I got a message saying I need to connect to PSN lol.. searching tells me I was not the only one with that issue

With the alpha, probably about 30 hours.

Is he getting the additional levels from the subclass? The reason I am asking is because his character is still showing level 20.

I was just looking at his main profile, but I did go back see that this orb for Titan did show 20.

You unlock another subclass at 15, so maybe you can only level that one class to 20?

Maybe it's 20 cap on first class and 15 on sub class. Either way I'm sure the game isn't going to disappoint.

Something that really pisses me off though is that end game raids require you to party up with 5 friends, no matchmaking at all

I'll most likely never get to play any endgame raids now since I don't have 5 friends who will all be online at the same time to put in a good couple hours on raids.

Just checked out my play time for the Beta, only put in 15 hours, 5.5 hours in PvP 4.5 in Free Roam, 2 in Strike and 3 in Story.
