Yea but after he teleports the first time, he keeps dropping those comet things on me. This is getting beyond ridiculous. Even the people I'm sum,owning are dying.

The spiders are weak to Bolt dmg, so either use the Tonitrus weapon, or bolt paper if needed.

The meteors are a big pain, so basically you want to run in and only back up to use vials. Keep being mobile around him, and keep hitting at it is my best advice.

My tactic was very different in the Chalice where I could use pilars to hide from meteors.

Yeah I finished the story. People say the difficulty hasn't changed in the Dungeons in NG+ but I didn't want to chance it so I finished Iyhll & then finished Sinister Iyhll on my first playthrough.

These are the events I did which landed me in Nightmare Frontier a lot sooner than expected. I don't know if this order has anything to do with what happened in the building to the right of the Grand Cathedral.

1. Defeat Cleric Beast
2. Defeat Father Gascoigne
3. Go to back entrance of Losefka Clinic, don't make her hostile, don't kill alien
4. Defeat Vicar Amelia
5. Don't touch the skull after Vicar Amelia is dead
6. Hunt down all NPC's except The Nun without killing any bosses, Make sure they go to Cathedral Ward
7. Defeat Blood-starved Beast
8. Go to Cathedral Ward & die to the Bag Men
9. In Unseen Village get the Nun & leave.
10. Go to the Grand Cathedral & head to the right of it.
11. There are two houses with NPC's that do nothing & a few Hunters there, kill them & make your way into the building below.
12. You will see Amygdala in the building & an open door. Head through.
13. Amygdala instantly picks you up if you try & enter. You can't pass & will die, then awaken in Nightmare Frontier.

What I found amusing about this is Amygdala can pick you up near Cathedral Ward. I've let that happen on purpose later in the game & survived because my health is maxed. When I was grabbed in the building, I looked at the initial damage to my health & noticed I would have survived but I was not let down & Amygdala crushed me again. I light the lamp at Nightmare Frontier & left.

I'd really like to get my scythe to lvl 9, but I can't seem to fing anymore Blood chunks.

Even the few farming spots yield 0 now (upper cathedral werewolves, Beasts in Unseen Village, Fire Giant in the Lecture hall).
Only place left I need to try is Hydras in Forbidden Forest...

Any tricks you guys would have beside restarting in NG+?

Platinum achieved. Now I can get my sanity back.

After the defiled bosses, everything else was a breeze. One shot the queen. She was embarrassingly easy to beat.

I'm about to call it a night on this. I keep getting Rom low on health, then a cheap one hit kill happens. Then out of like 15 tries, I could only summon 2 people, who both died before me.

Also got the platinum. 10 minutes against the Queen. That will take a few hours.


I should add I am now at level 153. I did not do any real farming, except to get echoes to buy all the weapons at the time. I found this platinum trophy harder than any of the Souls games. The bosses are genuinely hard. They are very fast and aggressive and several have diverse attacks. I still have to beat the Abhorrent Beast.

Am back at the dungeons looking through lower loran. Have boss 2 all qued up. Then off to layer 3.

I think I want the Ihyll Root Chalice more then Isz Root. Have everything for it except Tomb Mold 5 which is easy to farm from Isz.

I have a feeling that's where the good stuff is in this game. It's a Depth 5 Dungeon.

Started on Ailing Loran Lower. Abhorrent Beast was much less troublesome this time. Lower Loran is a piece of cake compared to what I've been doing, and the first level boss was a joke. I quit right outside the second layer boss door.

I can't remember where to go next in the game. The nightmare levels? I tried to go up to the choir, but I did not have the key. Took two tries to solo The One Reborn in NG+. Did not bother with the grenade throwers.

I know there was a messenger bath tonight with a chalice for sale for 18,000. I played through Ihyll 2, Ihyll 3 and Lower Loran 1 and 2. So it has to be in one of those. I already took care of Ebrietas in Isz. So far, I have not found great stuff in the Dungeons. A few gems that have been marginally better than the ones I had.

Ok.. I left Isz in Layer 2 when I got the stuff required for the Chalice Dungeon to get to the Queen boss. I coulda bought it somewhere in Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice Depth 5 where the Queen is..

I can confirm after beating DarkBeast Paarl in Lower Loran Chalice Layer 3, you get Sinister Lower Loran Root Chalice.
