It seems that the "Diamond in the Rough: The Making of Aladdin" is even more cut on the US release than on the international release. On the DVD the total playing time is 110 minutes, on the international Blu-ray it lasts 100 minutes (footage of Robin Williams recording the voice of the Genie is cut) while on the US Blu-ray it lasts only 71 minutes.

Just like the UK edition, I'm seeing some troublesome edge enhancement throughout those caps. Was hoping it would be remedied for the US release but alas:

Perhaps it's baked into the source? And I know it was shown theatrically in 1.85:1 but I don't see any reason not to present it in at least 1.78:1 or 1.66:1 without cropping. Sometimes I think Disney chooses their aspect ratios out of a grab bag.

I hadn't either, but Disney XD aired it when Robin Williams passed. It was a bittersweet experience.

For those that have the movie already: any teaser trailers or inserts that indicate Pinocchio will be released as a Diamond Edition in February? Historically, the previous Diamond Edition tends to promote the next one in the line...

So, The Lion got cropped to 1.78, but Aladdin gets to stay 1.85. This is irritating. Why can't they all be OAR?
