I live in San Diego and we have regularly had nights in the mid 30's. Not cold compared to much of the country. Fortunately I'm far enough south that I haven't had to worry about the blizzard warnings.

As for heaters I think it's code that all homes/buildings have them.

It got chilly and very wet but it wasn't too bad. Of course, I'm originally from the Northeast, so I just shrug off weather such as this. I chuckle at how everyone out here overreacts to the cold and rain and dresses like they're suddenly in Canada.

I have gas heat in my apartment, which I have been keeping on through the rain storms. Don't really need it on - it's not like I'm in danger of freezing to death here.

I have the recent KL reissue and don't recall any stabilization issue(s) so severe that they distracted me in any major way (and I'm usually sensitive to that kind of thing).

But I just can't seem to make myself push the button on a Scream '81 4k, and the lack of HDR isn't helping matters in the justification department.....

I sprung for the new 4k. I just had to see it for myself anyway. Fortunately, it totally solves the issue. Probably the best reason to grab the Scream 1981 4k.

It hasn't been that bad where I'm at. Sure, it's been cold and I'm counting the days for Spring but it's been manageable. I'm in the northern part in the SF Bay Area and temperatures have been normal for the time of year here.

Yeah, the 4K release includes the previous BD disc.

I’m glad they fixed that but unfortunately it doesn’t make the movie any better.

Both Dead Pit and Scream are pretty large improvements over the previous Blu-rays from viewing tonight. I would say Dead Pit more b/c the HDR pops as much as it could for a movie of this vintage and budget, but if you are fans of either of these movies go for it.

There is a sound dropout near the start of dead pit that was also in the previous blu-ray so presumably that's a master issue.

Re: Scream missing the Kanellis bits, based on how dead pit is set up (movie on 4k, extras on previous Blu) it looks like the original intention was to include the previous Code Red Scream Blu that would have those Kanellis bits, but for some reason at the last minute that didn't happen (maybe from licensing too close to KL scream reissue), and covers were already printed

Finally got an email from Dark Force but no tracking number The email lists two other titles I ordered back in August in addition to these two 4Ks, which I have already received, so I hope they don't send them again. I already received an extra copy of Weekend Murders back in October. I sent them an email a few weeks ago precisely to ensure the order doesn't get screwed up because of the long wait. Next time I'll just place two separate orders to avoid this. Believe it or not, I really don't want two copies of this stuff even if they were free for me.

This is normal, it was thesame way for me and this shipment didn't included any of the other titles that shipped earlier, only Scream and Dead Pit.

The email directly from Dark Force never has the tracking number. With them I always get a second email from PayPal and the tracking number is in there.

Heating systems are common, at least in the areas of Northern California that I've lived in, but they tend to be highly-inefficient wall heaters. A/C, however, is not. A consequence of temperate weather, I suppose.

Anyway, in the east SF Bay area, we've been largely in the 50's during the day, with some nighttime temps dropping to the mid to upper 30's, which is cold for this area. What's been most astounding is the snow, as low as 250 feet. I was blown away the other day when driving home and saw white hills in the distance, something I don't think I have *ever* seen.

Got my Dead Pit and Scream UHDs today from Dark Force. I’ve never watched either one. Hoping to be able to this evening.

I forgot about the glow in the dark slipcover for Dead Pit. Pretty nifty. The top one was without hdr on my iPhone and the bottom one with.

Woo hoo! Gotz my Dark Force 4K #2!

(Thats the best back of a slipcover I have ever seen!!)

Features on the Blu-ray disc included;

Quote:
*Interview (10:55, SD) with co-writer/producer Gimel Everett
*Interview (12:32, SD) with actress Cheryl Lawson
*Interview (21:07, SD) with director Brett Leonard
*Interview (13:35, SD) with actor Jeremy Slate
*Theatrical Trailer (1:51, SD) is included.
I swapped the Blu-ray disc with the previous one released through Kino which included;

Quote:
*Commentary features co-writer/director Brett Leonard, co-writer/producer Gimel Everett, and actor Jeremy Slate.
*Additional Trailers for other Code Red releases
The back of the case says the commentary is included, unsure if its on the 4K disc (cant check, I don't have a 4K player yet ). It is not on the Blu-ray disc.

That back cover is pretty great. Is it just me or does the slipcover look about a half an inch too long?
