They've currently listed only the 2D version on the Bestbuy Canada website. 2D & 3D versions are on the U.S. site.

I'm guessing we won't see a Dr. Strange 4K? Guess I'll order the steelbook.

Disney doesn't do 4K releases. At least not yet.

Disney likes to wait and see what happens which is a good move on their part as 4K is beyond a mess right now with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision fighting to be the de facto format. Current 4K are HDR 10 and there is news coming out studios will now release movies also in Dolby Vision. Picking up 4K movies is going to get messy.

OK, we get it -- you don't like the new Fantastic Four...

... how could we NOT know, you've been going on (and on, and on) about it in several threads.

Get a life.

"A partie de" is French for "from" or "starting at".

So not all of those will be $9.99

It's so disappointing that Futureshop, who pretty much started the steelbook craze, is no longer here, so we are stuck with Best Buy who gives Canada the shaft as far as most of their steelbooks are concerned.

We never received the 4K Huntsman steelbook, the 4K Labyrinth steelbook, The Magnificent Seven 4K steelbook, and now it looks like we are not receiving the 3D Doctor Strange steelbook, or the 4K Jack Reacher Never Go Back steelbook. There are many others we have missed out on lately as well, those are just off the top of my head.

With no Target, and now Best Buy giving up on the Canadian market, it seems like we are missing out on a lot of exclusives, and with our dollar so low and shipping costs so expensive, it can make importing quite pricey. Anyone else frustrated by this!?

I'm not a steelbook collector but I was pretty bummed out that Best Buy didn't keep with the exclusive GoT slipcovers. Still haven't purchased the latest season because of that. Not sure if I even want to complete the collection because it will just look weird on the shelf.

Honestly due to the cost of importing and even a lot of the Best Buy steels we do get being overpriced, I've given up on collecting steelbooks and have sold off large chunks of my collection. The joy I used to get from collecting has faded as the cost/difficulty increased.

It seems especially worst for Sony steelbooks. We didn't get the Resident Evil Pop Art steelbooks (I'm hoping Zavvi drops the price on them so I can import) or the Inferno steelbook. We are also not getting the Underworld steelbook. I'm guessing we won't get a steelbook for the new Resident Evil movie so I will have to import it.

Even though they are the same company, it seems like Best Buy has really slacked off since they closed Future Shop. I don't know about anyone else but I have spent a lot less at Best Buy since they closed down Future Shop due to the lack of deals/selection.

Haven't bought a blu-ray from Best Buy or HMV since 2015. The vast majority of my blus all come from amazon, with a few from Walmart.
